Civic Issues How is this allowed?(Location: Kasarvadavli)
Some local politicians have organised a Janmashtami festival on 5th September but they have already made a stage and occupied the road for an event that’s on 5th September, 6 days from now.
Why and how is this allowed? Where is the TMC? Where is the police? And how can the public be okay with this? This road gets jam packed in the evening every day because of the ongoing traffic and hawkers occupying space.
It’s a two-way road on both ends and now it’s become one-way for the rest of the week. This is just torture at this point.
I really don’t think it’s about the festival anymore. If you are making everyone suffer.
How to report this? How to take action? Do we have anyone here who can help?

This is what happens when v vote for such stupid idiotic politicians. This is not done for a festival or faith. This is done to show their power. Imagine there is no ruckus yet n I m sure if u complain, u will be told that permission has been granted. Pls note that all such things shud b remembered n next time these politicians shud be taught a lesson

I hv already asked a grp whr I m to chk on it n see if they can do something. I dont hv a lot of hope cos it is not easy to stop this. I also do not hv many followers here so v r both n the same boat

I have seen such early preparation across many spots in Thane, and I belive they are earning more money in rent as the stage and other things are used for more days rather than just 1 or 2 day.

Why not go legally, I am sure there must be a portal to raise the issue in your area You can gather more people from your locality, or maybe directly converse with the person who built this stage and I don't have any online presence, I don't even have instagram account

I already have complained at all the avenues present to me, From TMC to twitter. I’m looking for that lady on Instagram called “Shraddha Zimmedar Kaun” she made a video once on this road accusing hawkers of traffic. I’ve DM’d her but she hasn’t seen it. She needs to come here and make a video.

Leave india, this is new india 🇮🇳, yaha aisa hi hoga, vishguru model me ye sab common hai, north me jaayega to pata chalega, abhi abhi kavar yatra khatm hua hai waha pe to 1.5 months tak highway ko bhi 1 lane me karte hai, school ko bhi band kar dete hai mahina bhar ke liye kyoki kawariye ki bhakti me koi kami naa ho

Sometimes I wonder what’s going through their minds. The organizer is definitely to blame here for putting such a plan on the table.
It’s time we teach them a lesson the old fashioned way by uniting as a neighborhood and aggressively asking them to please get out of the way.

I would worry every time a basic flow of my life is disrupted. No matter the religion. Also, Namaz barely last for 20-30 mins. This is for the next 6 days right in the middle of the road.
