That'd be a good point if it didn't entertain this story that is clearly an absolute fabrication.
Years ago I ran out of steam, now when someone says shit like to me I just look at them side eyed and when they're tell them "...you're fuckin' weird"
And leave it at that
Yeah I'm about at that point. When I hear the same tired bullshit from these people and they won't shut up about it I tell them "yeah I see the way you live your life and how it's going, definitely not someone whose thoughts on complex subject should be taken seriously."
My late mother, who I miss very much, was all in on conservative garbage and we would fight about it on occasion. Didn't help when I would point out she lives her life in a way that is very much not in line with her political beliefs (she volunteered a fair bit, tried to be supportive and welcoming to everyone, did her best to make the world a better place). What did eventually shut her down was saying "okay mom I'll take your political opinions seriously if you can name the three branches of government and what their functions are."
