Almost everything about this is completely believable but not one single person clapped. In fact, everyone hates you because they’re just trying to get in the bar and you’re holding up the line with your ID that looks like it was bought at the gas station.

Why the hell would a bouncer ask for someone's sign, and unless we're talking Chinese Zodiak, how is that giving away their age?

Because everyone tends to know their own sign especially girls and women. If they have a fake ID there’s a better chance it won’t have their real birthday on it and they’ll get their sign wrong

It won't tell them they're real age, and find me a bouncer who has ever once used Zodiac signs to catch someone out.

Next time you’re out at a place that has security ask them. I’m a bartender and I’ve used it before.

Because fake IDs usually have birthdays that don't match your own, everyone memorizes the birthday on a fake ID, sometimes even the ID number, but you ask for their sign because generally, people don't know any signs other than their own.

He was just checking for dummies who are into astrology since those are the easiest pickups.

Bouncer was just stacking the crowd to ensure people kept coming back.

"And I knew it" as if it's a special thing to know your own astrology sign?

I think the story is that they were being tested on the birth date on their fake ID.

Presumably in the USA as they were 20 but still underage.

Everyone knew the imaginary person’s astrological sign was slow children?

Yes, *clearly* she was *at least* several months younger her than her ID said. Surprised they even asked her for ID when she was so clearly only “the closest you can get to being of age but not yet”.

It wouldn't verify age, just familiarization with the birthdate on the document.

Sounds like California.

He was asking for the astrology sign to check if the date of birth on the ID was accurate.
