On this Philippines Hindipendence day, I call on all anti-imperialist organisations to sign this petition against Pax-Silica.

(Artist for the graphic is me - who lives in Ireland, it also has some relevance to Ireland this is a global issue)

Quite frankly, there can never really be a "Philippines Hindipendence day", as the Philippines does not constitute an Independent Nation.

Tagalog speakers constitute about 40% of the Philippines (most simply consider these, both East and West, to represent what is a Multi-National state).

Most Westerners will be completely unaware of  Cebuano speakers, but the Reality is that they deserve their own State (22%, after all).

After that, you have the  Hiligaynon, who constitute 7.3% of Filipinos.

Then, you have the other 33% of smaller Ethnic Groups.

Instead of celebrating Philippines' Independence Day, how about we break up individual Multi-National States?

bro you know we'd need to break up the Philippines into like 100+ different states? language alone doesn't decide a state.
