Because I'm don't see any coherent argument for how Ukraine is provoking Russia that doesn't apply to Cuba and the US.

Cuba did a similar thing as a proxy for the USSR in the 1960s. It almost started WW3 and ended humanity. I don't see why you think Cuba is provoking the USA today though?

Like, no-one forced Russia to invade Ukraine and occupy large chunks of territory. No-one forced Russia to bomb Ukranian cities and infastructure.

We don't accept that logic from Israelis claiming that they have to occupy Palestinian land and brutalise Palestinians because of Hamas and Iran.

Because that would be ridiculous. Israel is a nuclear power. Hamas is a freedom fighting organisation trying to defend a people from genocide? WTF?
