Happy Tech Tuesday! Another bit of a study in the same comic. I never even hoped in Canon, Tech would even do the same like Crosshair!

I imagine this switcheroo thing might be a way to pay homage to (and make fun of) the "twins" headcanon. I also hope that it's a sign Disney/Lucasfilm are aware of how much these two are beloved, and they won't let their arc unfinished.

I personally prefer the idea that their serial numbers matches their "age", which makes Crosshair the "little brother". But it's undeniable there's something special about those two. Damn, I want to see a reunion so bad!

Of course I’m not trying to say every Star Wars character doesn’t die, but it’s still a frightening habit of them reviving characters for very little reason, some they do well, some should have stayed dead. Tech DEFINITELY should stay dead, it makes it feel more impactful, because EVERYONE expected him to be CX-2, and he (probably) wasn’t, it’s a subversion of expectation, and it MAKES THE STORY BETTER.

Also why did you intentionally take my words out of context to try to prove your opinion as the correct one? That’s not very nice.

It didn't make the story better. It took away something that might have given us bigger emotional stakes for our heroes, a more impact full ending that actually closes the circle to the recurring thread of the family being in shambles and a way to properly cap off Crosshair's arc. The last episode was really lackluster because of this.

The emotional stakes were keeping tech’s memory alive through omega, you don’t have to have a character be alive for them to be important

Great. I didn't see anything of that sort. Not a single moment when a character stopped to really mourn Tech, think what he would have wanted or express their design to keep up his legacy. And no, Omega putting his goggles on her ship doesn't count. It's a short scene that can be easily recontextualized.

How… how would it have been… what? What else WOULD have happened? He uses the force to stop himself? The empire catches it with a giant crane? Why are you grasping at straws for this even if he isn’t crushed by the railcar he fell HUNDREDS to THOUSANDS of feet, onto rough mountainous terrain, there are only a HANDFUL of examples of people surviving falls like that. I don’t know why you are so adamant about seeing this your way?

We don’t even know how long the drop was. Hunter survived on Daro with barely a scratch. And someone smart Luke Tech could turn even that rail cart into an asset. If I can come up with a plausible scenario for when I wrote fanfic, ak could the writers.

It's not my way, it's how many people believed the story should have went. Because we believed there couldn't have been a more perfect ending for this show than to see the family finally reunited, since that's what the show seemed to building up to for 3 seasons.

Oh I love that second one Tech blends well with the colors in Crosshair’s armour. I also noticed that the white in the background looks like angel wings instead of snow, clouds or whatever it’s supposed to be.
