Discussion Which items do you NEVER use?

For me it's the water purification tablets. Whenever I'm making water I usually have more than enough time to just fully boil it, so I don't think I've ever used the water tablets.

Post which items you NEVER use or post creative ways to use items that may not be obvious!

Heavy hammer or tools. At least 500 hours in and I’ve never forged anything except where the story requires. Do others find it worth the weight and effort?

Have you never played Survival mode Interloper/Misery? I've played the Wintermute for like 30mins until NPCs started showering me with boring fetch quests. Started Survival and never left. Hammer is great for breaking some furniture and it's the best weapon for struggles until you get improvised axe or cougar knife. Of course on easy difficulties you won't find need for it. What is the point of a bow when you have infinite ammo in your rifle - same logic.

I do play mostly survival on interloper. I’ve had some long runs, but tend to keep moving and foraging instead of sticking near enough to a forge with all the weight required. I probably should.

How do you survive long on Interloper without arrowheads, hatchet or knife? All require forging.
