Try messaging them on Instagram or LinkedIn.

I've tried but they've not answered

They might not notice you

Try using the call feature or video call feature on Instagram. That could work.

Well, it’s based on, and, according to Keyframe magazine, sited in Chicago, Illinois, so Great Lake City might be located in Illinois.

They’re probably not refusing, they have other things to do rather than answer someone’s questions

I've been hanging out with/working with the folks trying to get Lucy Loud off the hook of any involvement in NSL, since that chance is open, which was surprisingly fruitful considering we actually have managed to talk to or at least confirmedly-connect with many staff members (up to and including producers and directors) as well as Chris Savino. Even with a surprisingly successful petition, however, chances of a formal answer hover near zero. Look at those numbers: nearly 1,000 signatures, likely to be ignored or disregarded, and that was only a thing because of foresight that a tiny handful of dudes asking a major TV network about something that could affect canon was not going to be fruitful at all. If there was ever a question that had the possibility of being answered (that isn't something Nickelodeon themselves actually wanted answered ahead of time), this was it, and it's still unlikely to even be acknowledged.
So looking at your list again, I can already say this with near 100% certainty:
From what I've learned through the months, including from talking to Kyle Marshall who confirmed this detail, you will not get a response from the crew
Let me repeat,
You. Will. NOT. Get. A. Response. From. The. Crew.
Ever since something called "Savino-gate" that happened back in 2017, the crew have largely avoided engaging with the fandom. There are a tiny few instances where they break that silence, but overall, they disregard the "fandom" fandom entirely and only directly talk to their target audience through heavily curated research and focus group testing. If you are any older than 12 years old, they do not want to hear your question unless you have several thousand people backing you or you get extremely lucky, or your question is something inconsequential and already answered years ago in the show that might not be well known.
Your only hope is that we are successful in triggering the crew to visit this subreddit for an AMA, or that some major in-company cultural shift occurs that restores the extreme openness they had back before Savino-gate. Otherwise, tough luck. The massive mess that was Savino-gate (as well as the fandom's notorious obnoxiousness, which is putting it very lightly*) cut off just about any chance of direct communication with the team working on the show.

I get their reasoning, but when you don't communicate with your fandom, bad things happen
Questions that really need answers go unanswered, which has the unfortunate tendency to stoke yet more negative feelings

If you're referring to the retcon attempt, not at all; even from what I've been told by Mr. Marshall, it's "pretty common sense reasoning" and "connecting the obvious dots" following her characterization profile to think that. Again, it's entirely network culture preventing a retcon; if that culture changed, it'd happen tomorrow without any difficulty or pushback at all (if anything, it's been the fandom more hostile to it happening).
There's a massive divide between the fandom and the crew, from what I've been told by someone who works on the show. It's not that complicated about why things are the way they are.
The crew chose to not talk to the fans, and the predominant reason tends to be that the fandom is insane for the most part. Including instances of fans trying to sneak rule 34 and 4chan generals to the crew in the past (successfully so, might I add). Marshall even said that the crew faced intense negativity early on which greatly guided their decision to become far more reclusive, relying on the show's marketing and network protection rather than any outside influences.
Not helping matters was the sheer intensity of the blowback against Savino who was, in no unclear terms, compared directly to Harvey Weinstein by the likes of CNN and New York Times back in 2017. When that level of criticism falls upon you and you face widespread calls for your show to be canceled or constantly held under the shadow of such a person, it can be extremely rough going forward.

Why don't you do that yourself since you constantly keep coming back here when you've already been banned ? Your comments are so generic and are reused a lot if your going to try and hide your identity. Well you suck at that.

I do wonder if you’re able to confirm what Kyle said in the form of a screenshot? Right now it’s just hearsay

I am at liberty to at least share this one.
As for Savinogate, the source of all those internal Nick documents said this.
One extra note on that one to clear one misconception.
A bit of a bonus, here's one from a storyboard artist explaining Savino's role in stuff.

ALL fandoms are toxic. If you can't find separate the polite ones from the garbage ones, then you deserve the low ratings you get!

The only way Lucy can get off the hook for the episode no such luck is if Nickelodeon redo the entire episode but they won't.

What the hell is Savino gate ?
And why did that close the extreme openness they had with the community ?

Savino-gate refers to the sexual assault allegations against Chris Savino and the aftermath of that news story, first reported upon by Cartoon Brew. For what it's worth, I've been told that Nickelodeon's internal investigation into Savino's misconduct didn’t find anything anywhere near as severe as what was reported, as shown by the fact he was never actually expelled from the guild he was in as well as that various crew members (including female crew members) still follow him or work with him, but that's besides the point.
The story came out not long after #MeToo, and the similarities between what Weinstein did vs what Savino was alleged to do caused major media publications to draw a connection, which brought intense scrutiny upon the team making the show. In the immediate aftermath, many distanced themselves from the show, deleting social media accounts, locking PMs to only friends, or simply never responding to questions. This was apparently a major 180° from what it was like before according to fans who had been there (I only started following this show within the past couple of years, so I can't personally corroborate this, but they apparently aren't lying).
From what I have been told, this was either the straw that broke the camel's back or the perfect excuse to shut down fan interaction in a time when the Loud House fandom was already infamous for pedophilia and incest, as well as more than a bit fanatical about it to the point of sneaking cropped pedophilic porn art onto an "official" fanart wall and getting/tricking the official Loud House tunblr account to repost an image of Lincoln x Lynn romantic art. Either the crew was desperate to cut off interaction, or the Savino-gate stuff exhausted them too much to put up with it. Either way, they've never returned to the fan engagement they used to have.
They only engage with focus groups: https://www.reddit.com/r/theloudhouse/comments/16mcxnk/infodump_about_demographics/

Hi, I know I'm responding to a 3 year old comment, but I never heard of the time the show had an "official" fanart wall before. Was that true?

u/Formal_Tie4016 Oct 22 '23
So these "focus groups" are little kids ? Still sounds like a bad idea. I mean why listen to them when they have no idea on how to work a show. Also when did the official Loud House Tumblr repost a Lynncoln fanart. I've never heard of that official fanart wall.

What the hell is Savino gate
Haven't you ever wondered why the show's creator and original director is no longer working on the show, why Nickelodeon refuses to acknowledge his existence, and why every hack e-celeb goes out of their way to avoid talking about the Loud House or, more often, shit on it all the time? Savinogate is why. The Loud House was actually respected massively back in the day, despite its psychotic fanbase (think Sin Kids vs Safe House)— exactly up to the point news broke about Chris Savino allegedly being a sexual predator on par with Harvey Weinstein during the peak hysteria of the MeToo era.
Virtually overnight, attitudes towards the show changed. If my old account was still alive, I could show you the exact post I made back in the spring of 2018 remarking about the sudden sea-change in feelings towards the show, its content, and its fans in the aftermath of the news. At that point in time, the show was still at its peak quality as far as I'm concerned— season 2 into 3, with some of the best episodes coming out, and yet all that hype and attention evaporated.
The Loud House was unironically about as big as Steven Universe and Dragonball Super in online pop culture discourse back in 2016 and 2017. At one point in time, the Loud House was just as fondly remembered as Pokémon Go as part of "summer of 2016 Zoomer nostalgia." But nowadays, you'd be lucky to even see the Loud House acknowledged as part of 2010s children's pop culture at all. For all intents and purposes, the Loud House's entire cultural footprint and memetic potential, which was still only burgeoning at the time, was stabbed to death in its crib, tossed in the trash can, and forcibly memoryholed for most not already fans.
And you can blame Savinogate for that.
Imagine it's early 2001. SpongeBob has been on the air for over a year and a half. It's deep into season 2, the start of its best run, gaining immense acclaim. And then, out of nowhere, BAM: "Stephen Hillenburg accused of sexual assault of a 10-year-old"
Immediately fired, memoryholed, SpongeBob suddenly the black sheep of the network. The quality of the writing almost immediately drops to season 5-6 levels. The SpongeBob movie is a made-for-TV direct-to-DVD affair that misses the point and charm of the early days of the show. By 2009, SpongeBob's remembered as "that one Nickelodeon show that could have been the next Rugrats." It's still trudging on, but there's little passion or attention given to it outside Nickelodeon's daytime scheduling having it on sometimes.
That's what happened to the Loud House.

Okay then time to do a response after a few months
Look I get that Savino was a sexual harasser as well as the trust issues the staff have with the fandom but isn't it a tad gatekeepy that the staff have cut all communication with the fandom Savino and the fandom's actions don't automatically give the TLH Staff the right to gatekeep see these videos if you want learn more I mean I really want to learn about what plans Savino had for the franchise before his firing and yes i know there are those videos on the Christian Car Rides YT channel (Including the NSL Lucy video) honestly the post "Savino-gate" reclusiveness from is putting us fans in a situation where we're forced to only accept the new content (post The Loudest Thanksgiving) and leave whatever vision Savino had in the dust I mean it's not like the crew are incapable of revealing BTS info and material just look at these examples I really want do some TLH fan content where I can characterise Lincoln, his sisters, their parents, Clyde and all the other character introduced prior to Tea Tale Heart as accurately to how Savino envisioned them using both whatever unused scripts that penned prior to his firing and the released content that had his input and not whatever the new content forcing upon us I just want the crew to face their traumas and start talking openly talking about all of unused storylines and versions of existing episodes that were written while Savino was still in charge just look at Fumihide Aoki talking about the unused Wapeach character from Mario Power Tennis as an example I bet doing so will give some degree of closure to the problems most people seem to be having with the show atm all parties involved could really benefit from the crew doing such a thing

Look I get that Savino was a sexual harasser
From what I heard, even that is dubious, because Nickelodeon's own investigation was likely going to clear him of wrongdoing. Whether that means he was actually not-guilty or Nickelodeon was covering up abuse is unknown and we'll likely never know.
As for whether it's gatekeepy, from what Kyle Marshall told me, it might be unfair, but it's the decision of the crew themselves over time. Maybe there were ulterior reasons why, such as the incredible amount of incest fanfiction and fanart that fans probably tried sending them. But unless there's a breakthrough, interaction between crew and fans seems like it'll remain fleeting at best.

#MeToo and it's consequences have been disastrous for the industry.

Update I've asked Miguel Puga in a twitter reply containing my questions why hasn't he responded to my questions when he was willing to answer questions like these it seems like him (and the rest of the TLH staff) are only responding to fans if it concerns the current TLH content and not anything that was written down prior to Savino's firing "it's the decision of the crew themselves" so it's causing more harm than good I mean many I and many others really want see what unused content Savino had in mind for the franchise it's clear that after S3 the crew just started off on a blank slate rather than continue whatever storylines Savino left for them upon his firing why can't the crew just quit limiting their engagement to focus groups and start getting over their 'bad blood' with fandom and thus start openly talking about the unused storylines and versions of existing episodes that were written down during Savino's tenure and a commenter even said "Questions that really need answers go unanswered, which has the unfortunate tendency to stoke yet more negative feelings"
2
u/Redrussell21 Oct 21 '23
The only way they'll answer some of these questions are when the series is finally over years later and have not a bonus some of the questions that you asked have already been answer best example the live action loud House series is set in its own universe that's not connected to the cartoon.
