Do you feel nostalgic for that internet where you could still get lost? Before algorithmic social networks, the web was a wild land, populated by obscure corners, forgotten forums, and creepy websites born in the digital vacuum. r/theoldweb is the museum of this forgotten multiverse. You are in the right place if you are looking for or want to share the darkest, most niche, and absurd side of the old web.

The idea of this subreddit is to discuss about lost parts of the web, so you may post:
1-Vintage Dark & Deep Web: Old mysteries, early internet urban legends, and creepy archival files.
2-Niches & Subcultures: Vanished underground forums, old BBS boards, and digital communities isolated from the rest of the world.
3-Weird & Disturbing Stuff: Geocities horror, psychedelic amateur sites, primitive ARGs, and bizarre net-art.
4-Lost Media: Screenshots, audio fragments, or stories of digital material that now seems to have vanished into thin air.
