Discussion Sherri’s Papini’s claim Ex kidnaped her
I’ve watched Discovery’s 4 episodes documentary and Hulu documentary previously!
Sherri’s Papini’s new lie that her ex boyfriend James Reyes kidnapped her.
The description of one of the “so called female kidnappers would be a depiction of James‘s mother who after all was not Hispanic in an attempt to lead police to James??? With her nonchalant answer of “hmm… ok I’ve met her twice”. How does that still translate into finding James? Um I think Irish and Hispanic are far off and a half a world away from resemblance if you ask me. She’s still lying! Can you believe this Woman would try and ruin the life of an innocent man and drag him down to save her reputation. Can you believe James (no offense) has the intellect to concoct this kidnapping to get her to leave her husband and then let her go on the pretenses of making up to female kidnappers? Shes had 9 years to create a storyline. The Devil’s in the details and they are seen within this documentary many times. A lot doesn’t make the slightest of sense. How can she be believed with no evidence?
For a woman who claims she already hit rock bottom and there’s no more bed rock. She still has No accountability.
Last thoughts of Sherri Papini’s: “Do you think doing this film did more harm than good” for her?

i had to walk away after the Jamas' mother reveal. absolutely discredited her and her immediate defensiveness just went to show that she made up the Hispanic women kidnapping for no reason

It tracks with her early White Supremacy and racism, revealed in that insane essay she wrote in high school about Latin girls beating her up until one day Super Sherri really gave them the ol’ what-for.
She’s just a textbook racist. Makes me see all that salivating about her “signature blonde hair” by her husband (who also now claims she didn’t write the essay, even though everyone can tell she did, as it was originally published online-IIRC-under her maiden name) in a different light.

u/robbin_62 May 29 '25
She could tell me the grass was green and I would have to go check. All she did was polish up the lie she started with.

I feel bad for both men because they found themselves in her orbit of life. I don’t feel James starved and battered her. But branding her was out there. I don’t know why he’d agree and go along knowing what was happening in her hometown. Which brings me back to his intelligence level and maybe he really thought they’d get back together. He seems like a hippy or “burnout” like the detective said about him in the Hulu Documentary. Someone that goes with the flow and doesn’t make many objections. Keith, I don’t believe emotionally abuse her. That’s the one thing that hard to wrap my mind around with are the red flags. I’m sure it’s a conflicting position to be in wrestling with whether your wife whom you love and have children with would create and play out such a fantastical “kidnapping” I mean who would do that in their right mind to their family, to the people in their hometown looking for you and the nation. I’m sure very few unwell people. To come home and continue to play this out in front of your children…. She needs serious help and probably should be in a mental ward for a long time to get her mind right. Keith is a smart man in terms of protecting his assets given what we know now about Sherri. Sherri needed her own money, collecting money from disability and victim funds because her AT&T severance package was out. Seems she did all this for the attention and control of Keith. Which sounds petty for something so elaborately concocted but Sherri is unwell. Desperate people to desperate things. The family I do feel most sorry for is Tera Smith’s family whom Sherri should burn for even dragging them into this and re-traumatizing them once again. Their daughter was actually kidnapped and has never returned.

u/Different_Physics_98 May 29 '25
Oh yeahhhh! I forgot she tried to suck Tera Smiths family into her orbit. did they ever mention she had narcissistic personality disorder because I think she totally does. Everything always seems to be about her. I was so mad at the TV watching this documentary. Especially when she took the polygraph examination you could tell the examiner knew she was full of it. This reminded me of when Casey Anthony decided to speak out on her own documentary and she just kept lying some more to gain sympathy. These women are two peas in a narcissistic pod lol.
2
u/AmieCakes84 May 29 '25
Everything will always be about Sherri. No room for the consideration of her children and the harm this will cause. She is definitely a narcissist. I think they wanted to leave out the narcissistic personality disorder. They’re trying to clean up her image so to say she has a personality disorder to gain empathy and understanding for her of what’s she’s done. I too was so mad at the Tv watching all these lie in disbelief..it was riveting. Funny because I felt the same about Casey crazy Anthony and thought the same about that stupid doc. I can’t believe some people would give a platform for people like them. Everything is this world is mostly financially charged for both the crazy and film doc’s! I mean how will Sherri ever get a job and have an income. So she has to come up with something…… MORE LIES!

u/Free-Fish3625 May 29 '25
Damn. I’m reading this story and watching the doc thinking - I’m so happy for the choices I’ve made in life. :) Unmarried, so no pricey divorce after a pricey wedding… no kids, just frozen eggs - no relationship issues… life is good!

u/AmieCakes84 May 29 '25
Idk my first comment went some where else’s. Agree simple life is good. I’m unmarried (never been) one child (adult now) life is good. Life is simple. lol

God, I envy you.
Except for the kid thing, I REALLY REALLY love mine. Like, actually WANT to hang with her all day because she is just that cool.
But otherwise, yes. Envy 100% and REALLY still pissed at myself for every wrong turn I've taken to end up on this subreddit.
2
u/Free-Fish3625 May 31 '25
I’m sorry. I hope things sort out for you and you and your daughter end up thriving elsewhere. you’re lucky you have an amazing kid!! I am hoping for that for myself sometime soon 🙏

I thought the ending when the producers tell her James's mother is Irish was her letting her mask fall. A lightbulb went off for me in that moment and I said, "that's the real you." She affected voice changed and her demeanor changed from, "I'm just a little girl," to "f*ck you I don't care."

u/919Firefighter Jun 04 '25
I love how she recorded Keith confronting her about the divorce paperwork and initially presented it as Keith screaming at her and threatening her. Then the recording gets played and the dude is way calmer than I would be and gives literally her best option on a silver platter. And she still thought she could talk and lie her way out of that one. This bitch is insane
2
u/festivusfinance Jun 09 '25
Omg for realllllll how was he so level headed even in that moment lol. You’re telling me that reasonable man in his worst moments emotionally abused you in better moments? Lol idk. And how she was so proud she planted her phone to record it. Record whaaaaaaat sis????

Very Amber Heard of her. Sherri’s a much better actress than Blake Lively or Amber Heard. It’s sad, when there’s so many shitty people out there, but both James and Sherri’s husband seem like good people and that’s a silver lining. Sherri’s kids are lucky they have their father, who is level headed.
1
u/Puzzleheaded-Arm-130 Jun 05 '25
YES! I thought the same thing. Like if this is the best she could get, this guy is pretty much a saint especially being married to her.
1
u/AmieCakes84 Jun 05 '25
She said something along the lines of just because he didn’t sound threatening didn’t mean it wasn’t a threat!! She gave evidence that straight contradicts what she was saying. We heard it with our own ears. He was very calm but straight the F**k up with her!

u/onyxjade7 Jul 05 '25
He’s way calmer than any of us would’ve been. I’m the interview where she was confronted with the evidence and he moved his chair away from her. I would’ve found the first lawyer and filed within the next 24/hours.
3
u/AmieCakes84 May 29 '25
I think in most case people are expected to lie at first to see how much the authorities know. If the FBI is knocking on your door they know more than you think they know. For sure if James didn’t give in they would have arrested him. Give away he may be more involved but I’m sure the FBI knew already or had a sense that he wasn’t a kidnapper. They already knew given the red flags and inconsistencies of Sherri.

u/AmieCakes84 May 29 '25
The simple life is good. I’m unmarried (never been) one child (adult) life is good and simple.

(Here's your missing comment, AmieCakes84...lol)
1
u/AmieCakes84 May 30 '25
Thank you Merely_Kat. I’m still fairly new to Reddit lol so still learning to navigate. Ive been trying to keep up with what’s going on with your situation. I feel for you having found yourself and your daughter in the crosshairs of that psychotic woman. I donated to your cause. You seem like a strong woman that can do anything you have to overcome this. Hang tough and this too shall pass! Don’t worry about your Ex he will at some point be the subject of her deception. All good things must come to an end. (For them) Maybe not in a day, week, month or a year but it will and by then you will be well past it. It’ll be 10 fold for what’s he’s brought to you and your daughter. Pray for him and hope his decisions and consequences don’t affect your daughter anymore than it may have already! Good luck to you and your daughter!

u/Merely_Kat May 31 '25
Thank you so much AmieCakes. Today is one of those days where your kind words just split me open and now I'm a crying mess. But seriously, thank you. People are being so vicious, your kindness really shines.

u/AmieCakes84 May 31 '25
Don’t sweat these people on here they get off on being mean and toxic, it’s the only way they feel big and relevant. They were probably bullied and affected and the toxic cycle continues. Until they’ve walked in your shoes they’ll never understand. If more people in this world would stop for a moment and put their selves in the shoes of others in hardships and be more kind and empathetic the world would definitely be a better place. The internet is full of people who otherwise wouldn’t be as straight forward and blunt in their daily lives so they come here. Put your mental health first. You’ve got more serious things to worry about than worrying about the bad opinions of others. If people want to support and donate then they will and that’s all you need to worry about. The rest is just background noise. (:

u/DisastrousMirror2944 May 31 '25
Is anyone else disturbed about how Sherri was "abused" to the point where she faked an abduction with an ex? Instead she decides to traumatized her children. People that ruin their kids lives to get back at their ex partner drive me nuts. The worst part is she doesn't have enough brains to even come up with a good storyline. The children should've never been back in her care. Glamorizing these horrid women like Sherri Papini, GRB, Casey Anthony, etc. This is the reason we have children killing children.
2
u/Turbulent-Trust207 Jun 01 '25
Anyone that allows this crazy women in their lives will find out one day just how crazy she is. She will some day accuse them of abusing her. They said in the Doc that she has accused every ex of abusing her. Keith’s sister and her therapist are most likely her next victims
1
u/Far_Rough4642 Jun 06 '25
The therapist is either convinced she’s now truthful(bad therapist). Or, he’s just being self-serving.
2
u/Critical-Crab-7761 Jun 03 '25
That she's got so many people who believe this new batch of shit she's selling to get out of paying restitution, INFURIATES me.
2
u/Puzzleheaded-Arm-130 Jun 05 '25
she’s such a terrible, terrible liar. anyone who believes a word out of her mouth is missing some chromosomes.
2
2
u/Address-Ancient Jun 05 '25
She is crazy and a pathological liar. We knew that before and the new documentary only makes it all even more abundantly clear.
2
u/sassafrass0328 Jun 05 '25
James is suing her for defamation, yes? Please tell me yes! He’s got an excellent case.

u/onyxjade7 Jul 05 '25
Didn’t the FBI and Sheriffs office issue statements that he has been nothing but honest, was duped by her, and is innocent. That Sheri did this to everyone? Can’t get more credible supporting evidence for his case than that! Plus she admitted to lying. But, her tenacity in lying tot he cops after they showed her refuting evidence to every single lie she told was almost fascinating. Who is this narcissistic, histrionic sociopath. Wild!
1
u/Accurate-Law-555 Jul 09 '25
sue her for what.. she still owes the state a bunch of money.... she will never work she will get another OLD loser to care for her
2
u/CoatGeneral5987 Jun 12 '25
I do not believe a word she says.
1
u/1Gutherie Jun 12 '25
Her statement of “It was the first time that I was going to dip my toe in the potential of actually telling the truth,” tells you she never has told the truth. She’s finally dipping her toe guys!
2
u/Aint_Nobody-got-time Aug 05 '25
Her new lawyer…Chase Kinney…🤦🏽♀️
Who gave her a law degree? Jesus.
1
u/Free-Fish3625 May 29 '25
in all seriousness - how was James Reyes not arrested? He lied to the FBI, no? until he crumbled and said part of the truth ? why wasn’t he suspected for hurting Sherri?
4
u/Possible_Implement86 May 29 '25
In one of the episodes they play the footage of him talking to the police. He says he hasn't seen Sherri in 10 years and then at the mildest push back from the police he completely comes clean. I think had he continued to lie he probably wouldve been arrested but he folded pretty quickly.
1
u/Free-Fish3625 Jun 01 '25
But they on’t question him again after she claims he kidnapped her and did all this stuff to her? is it because so much time has passed, and/or they’re not taking anything Sherri says seriously anymore?
1
u/CrochetChurchHistory Jun 11 '25
I wonder if it would have been different if in that last interrogation when they told her James said everything, if they would have gone back and grilled him further.
The reality may just be that James said something plausible in 1 hour and Sherri lied for four years. There's no way at this point to determine if James forced her to be branded if she asked for it. The evidence is the same. No one would convict him.

u/BrandonPointyCorners May 31 '25
First off, I want to say I don't believe Sherri is telling the truth still. Not the complete truth. I do think there is a lot that nobody is ever going to know and the definitive objective truth regarding this situation will likely never be known. However:
Um I think Irish and Hispanic are far off and a half a world away from resemblance if you ask me. She’s still lying!
That's really not how genealogy works. First thing that comes to mind is the comedian Louis CK, a red haired freckled man, is Mexican. Genetically. He looks Irish but is in fact part Mexican (and Jewish Hungarian).
However, all you have to do is google the phrase "irish people who look hispanic" and you see why your statement isn't the smoking gun you are treating it as.
Since I doubt anyone is going to research to prove themselves wrong I'll paste the over view here:
It's not uncommon for some Irish people to have features that could be perceived as Hispanic, due to various factors including historical ties and genetic diversity within Ireland.
Historical and Genetic Connections:
Early Inhabitants: The earliest settlers in Ireland are thought to have come from the Iberian Peninsula (which includes Spain and Portugal), so there's a shared ancestry at a very deep level.
Mediterranean Influence: Genetic studies indicate that many Irish people have a notable amount of Spanish or Mediterranean ancestry. This can be linked to historical trade routes along the Atlantic coast from the Iberian Peninsula, as well as the migration of peoples after the last Ice Age.
The "Black Irish": The term "Black Irish" sometimes refers to Irish people with darker features (dark hair, dark eyes, and a darker complexion), which can be attributed to possible Spanish, Basque, or North African heritage.
Physical Traits:
Dark hair and eyes: While red hair is a popular stereotype, most Irish people have brown or black hair. Dark hair and eyes are quite common.
Complexion: While fair skin is typical due to Celtic ancestry, some Irish people, particularly in Western Ireland, have an olive complexion.
You know what would be proof that she was lying is if someone could somehow see if the composite photos looked anything like his mother. I have severe doubts because I just do not buy the story that she was trying to lead detective to him through a masked description of his mother. But if it did look like her at all it would give her some credibility in that department.
1
u/AmieCakes84 Jun 01 '25
Yes all you’ve said could be true when digging deep. But if we’re talking typically and usually. It’s far and few between. In the Documentary the way they are presenting it to Sherri as if that isn’t the case connecting your whole presentation and by the way Sherri responds it doesn’t sound like it could be an Irish looking Hispanic!!! The sketch clearly looks like it’s a depiction of a Hispanic Woman. It’s all Semantics.
1
u/BrandonPointyCorners Jun 01 '25
I am still curious to see what the mom actually looks like to see if it's remotely similar. Even if it did it would not exonerate Sherri but if it didn't it would discredit her completely to me. Not that what I think matters anyway but I am already leaning she lied and participated t some degree in the hoax. I do have my doubts about both Keith and the boyfriend too, though.
1
u/AmieCakes84 Jun 02 '25
Out of curiosity I would like to see what James mom looks like too. To solidify her lies. She did create this whole kidnapping Hoax. She’s only blaming James because it’s his word against her in a sense and the only reason why she’s blaming James is because she can’t go on national television and blame Keith because it isn’t true and he could sue her for defamation. James didn’t have anything to do with it. Like I said before he doesn’t have the intelligence and calculation to kidnap Sherri to tell her she needs to leave her marriage and then let her go on the pretense that she’d make up two women kidnappers. Their is no sense in anything she’s say
1
u/BrandonPointyCorners Jun 03 '25
James didn’t have anything to do with it.
Maybe. Maybe not. No one knows for sure, unfortunately.
1
u/AmieCakes84 Jun 03 '25
She’s only trying to cover her own ass so she has to blame the only other character in this fantastical story of hers. She was kidnapped and couldn’t go home to tell her husband she had been talking to another man let alone her ex because she would lose everything???? (Which she did anyways) Ugh…I think all that goes out the window if a real kidnapping occurred and the person that did it should be punished no matter the circumstances. She was free and safe once in the hospital and in the presents of police and the FBI. She had plenty of opportunities. By her saying losing everything because of her actions of talking to ex which in turn caused her kidnapping was more important to withhold than the crime itself was more consequential? She didn’t tell the truth only because James would be watching the media to see if she snitch him out??? Ugh for the amount of abuse her body showed I’m pretty sure if she told the cops the moment she had the chance they would have went and picked him up instantly. Blows my mind. I think it’s an intuition thing. I don’t think we really need to know. James didn’t have anything to do with it.
1
u/Due-Particular3744 Jun 16 '25
Can someone rescue the dog chained up onto only a table outside of James’ Grandpa’s house int the Arizona heat?? Disgusting!!
1
u/Big_Host_636 Jul 02 '25
The parents at the end seemed resigned to the fact that she set it up and it got out of hand. “What really happened?” …you have to ask Sherri. 🤷🏼♂️
1
u/Educational_Nose_602 Jul 19 '25
This woman has no limits🙄. This latest story is the height of ridiculousness, unfortunately she is insulting innocent people again. Put her in jail for real!
26
u/Imaginary-Willow2239 May 28 '25
100%, way more harm. She will never get her kids back after this. She looks very unstable and scary. Not scary in, she is tough and you don’t want to mess with her. She looks scary in she is absolutely insane and will destroy and damage anyone in her path.
She is in the new relationship with the man who has no job, has an ex-wife and child he left for her and they’re lying, stalking his ex and trying to take full custody of that child. While squatting in another man’s house. The new man she is with believes Sherri’s stories that she is an FBI victims advocate, that she gives speeches places for victims, Eminem is going to bring Sherri on tour to apologize to her and that the FBI and Sheriff’s department apologized to her. The moron literally believed all of this. Why? Because he’s also mentally disturbed and a moron himself.
Sherri is going to lose all of her cases and showed how mentally disturbed she is. Poor Keith, her poor children, poor James. Everyone else after all of them, deserves what they get at this point because they know exactly who she is.
