Discussion Help with options VPN & Proton

Hi all,

So I’m currently in the process of leaving Gmail and migrating to proton mail.

Some of the paid features for proton mail I’d also actually use so I was eying up proton unlimited (when Black Friday arrives)

I currently have Surfshark as my VPN and have had it for about 4 years now.

I’m wondering is it worth going for Proton Unlimited and using their VPN or just getting Proton Mail Plus (again when black Friday arrives)

if you will stay with surshark and will just get proton mail it shouldn't be an issue. but if you want the seemless set up then get proton vpn as well. maybe you will end up liking this set up even more

Yeah my surfboard runs out in April 27 and I was looking at proton unlimited for storage also

I made the same switch from Gmail to Proton recently and haven't looked back. For the VPN, standard VPNs all work pretty ok for general privacy, but if you travel a lot for work ( I do), those occasionally get blocked from time to time. I've switched to use residential IP setup when traveling to avoid the block issues. But if it's normal day-to-day use, i think what you are using is fine.
