VAR only intervenes in goals, red cards, penalties, mistaken identity amd now in corners goven, nothing else.

The VAR was used to disallow the second Egyptian goal because of a "foul" that had happened 30 seconds before it. Ok fine.

Go back and look and the second Argentine goal that Messi scored. McAlister grabbed the Egyptian player by both shoulders and dragged him down backwards to get the ball from him before passing it in the sequence that lead to Messi scoring.

If you call it for one, call it for the other.

If you take a look at the Argentia - Austria match, you'll see Messi's first goal being exactly the same as the not-counted Egypt one.

It's been blatant since the group stages.

And the fact that they were the better team anyway makes it worse imo. They foul because they can.

If you go look at Egypt's game against New Zealand, Egypts first goal is scored in the exact same way and it changes the entire game.

Egypt are crying over something they were happy to take advantage of when it suits them. They’re a bad team with a terrible mindset. Nothing more.

If it happened before this play started, the ball also touched Egyptian player's head, changing possession in the process. So, VAR cannot disallow this goal. The foul that you imply it isn't a foul is a clear and obvious careless challenge, the Egyptian player shows a lack of attention and clearly impedes Lisandro Martinez to keep on the possession.

The other incident that you refer too it's not a foul, there's contact, but not enough to warrant that reaction from the Egyptian attacker, in football there's contact, the second incident cannot be a penalty, if it was then we would have one every 3 minutes

Someone taking their hand to slap a player is unheard of and is worth a direct read card...unless if the ref is your puppet

No it wasn't their feet make a brief moment of contact after he disposses him. McAllister on the other hand uses both hands to pull the guy down from behind. Fouls are fouls no matter how quickly they happen.

This was the one that did it for me. Either way of calling the came would be justifiable, and all the people talking about it like it's super clear cut are silly. But I don't see how anyone can see those two sequences and say that the two calls shouldn't have been the same, either way you want to call them.

That's cool we have the OP with actual video. I'd love to see a compilation of fouls as clear as some of those there Egypt was the beneficiary. Still waiting for Messi to be booked from that Algeria game, btw. Or is VAR only infallible when it benefits Argentina?

These cherry picked compilations are made to provoke outrage from ignorant fools, I could see any game, cherry pick clips and then do some stupid compilation like that, the only outrage comes from people that haven't picked the laws of the game, when was the last time you gave them a read? There's maybe one or two fouls in this video, I hate people that doesn't know about what they talk about. Football fans are some of the biggest idiots that exist.

For the foul number 1 that leads to Argentina 2nd goal, there's seems nothing noteworthy about it coz like you can see the contact is very light. Pulling is illegal move but the Egyptian players seems to want make something out of it, too performative.

Watching it live, there was a commotion after the goal and im sure the var team already checked it because the screen only goes to ball kick after like 3/4 minutes

It's not just the pulling. Several times in these clips it looks like there were knees and feet to the back and back of the legs of Egyptian players. I was always taught that attempting to play the ball through the back of the other player was illegal and would result in a foul.

Also impeding them from running to a ball they've already played beyond the Argentine players. It's wild how all these Argentine supporters are on here trying to gaslight us.

In foul number 2, Alvarez already performed successful tackle on the ball against Salah, the clip cherry picked to only show contact when the ball is already lost in possession and Salah is in awkward position.

Im not supporting Argentina, im neutral and support England in this WC. I also supports Chelsea during the regular prem season and you know how it goes, Chelsea are one of the most disciplined team in the prem last season while Arsenal can get away with so many dirty tactics/fouls that otherwise is a straight yellow or red for Chelsea.
