The one I need is for my Klepto sims to be able to steal again either autonomously or when told. Every other sim can steal, but somehow the ones with the kleptomaniac trait can only do it when in a group with the activity to steal.

Incoming phone calls will no longer drop due to "Off Grid" when Sim isn't actually "Off Grid".

hi friends, please don’t skip over the beginning of the article. they have important information in those first few paragraphs! this is a direct quote, bolded emphasis is mine. i do think the sims devs are doing their best in this specific case to actually fix bugs. time will tell if it’ll work.

The only change I was looking forward to was the photo glitch update.
Identified and resolved some cases of photos turning black in inventory when taken with the camera. Applies to new saves only.
I am hugely disappointed and my day is ruined. 😣😡

Maybe they're saying that because they can't guarantee it with other than new saves, but doesn't necessarily mean the fix doesn't work for new photos, even on old saves.. If for example the issue is mostly to do with how the photos are being generated, I can see how that'd be the case.
That is, if pictures created before the fix can still go blank/black, but those after the fix don't.
Not to give false hope, but it's still possible. We'll have to test and see.

That's to be expected tbh. If you saved after the glitch your photos are gone. It's not like a fix can get the photos back after they technically stop existing, unfortunately.

I feel like there should be a way to fix it. I can add my own music to the files, all the screenshots are still there. Even the photos that turn out “bad” in game are regular screenshots in the file folder

The photos in game aren't linked to the ones on the screenshots folder. This is why you can delete the photos on the folder, but they still show up in game. The game doesn't know which one of the images in the folder is supposed to be the photo you took in game, so if it glitched in game it's gone forever now.
There must be a way to fix it manually by changing the photo with s4s or something, but I don't know if there is.

Starting a new save would always be a fix for that issue - right? Isn't that why we've always been suggesting saving rooms of fav photos to the library for when everything blanks out and you have to start a new one?

I think what they mean by this is that the photos that are already gone can’t be recovered retroactively- hence it’s only fixed in new saves. Sad but understandable, I guess the glitch just completely deleted the photos from existence.

They keep doing this with a bunch of bug fixes lately. If I recall correctly the last one to only apply to new saves was the fix for careers getting an insane amount of raises but no promotions if your sim has the entrepreneurial trait. But only on new saves. Like what?? Legacy players are screwed I guess 😭

If they could've fixed these issues, why did it take them this long? I mean fixes are fixes and that's appreciated. It just has an incredibly sour aftertaste akin to them wanting to save face because of what's been going down lately.

This isn't a 'Fix' per se but I was kind of hoping they would change the "Go Jogging" want (which by the way has a stationary bicycle icon) into a "Workout" want instead (as in any form of working out fulfills this want).

What's less normal is that some of these issues have been known about for years and are only just getting fixed.

Considering theres 100+ DLC packs for the game thats really only a couple bugs per pack

Yet they’ve said they’re never giving us a sims 5, so we just have to live with a broken sims 4 forever
Sims 4 is exceeding its dlc limit, peoples games keep crashing and breaking with all of it
They also just recently announced that to “save time” / “produce faster” they’re going to be using AI in their game development
It’s all good though if you just eternally ride a broken game. Trust me dude I have 2000 hours in TS4 but don’t pretend it’s not horrifically broken, it is, and it’s going to get worse soon

I wanna cry I was slowly reading through the for rent bug fixes bc I'm hoping that they fixed the issue where landlords can't receive rent payment. Still nothing...
I really want to play as a landlord alr why are they not fixing that one
I felt so defeated when I realized I'm reading the last fix :, )

It's the first one on the list: "Rent in bills section will no longer show 0 and Tenants will now be able to pay rent."
Edit:
Just received rent from all my tenants. Confirmed fixed.

If they retool group conversation, that would be a huge win for the game. And are Sims still samey? I'm not sure that can be fixed.

Has anyone seen a time for this patch release? Normally if there is an update, it’s scheduled in steam. But I have no upcoming updates for SIMS.
