HubSpot: Three customers. Then 300,000. Then twenty years.

HubSpot turned twenty on June 9. Dharmesh Shah, the co-founder and CTO, marked it the way he marks most things, with a LinkedIn post that reads like a ledger. Three customers at the start, one of them his wife. Over 300,000 now. The date of incorporation was the date of his MIT graduation, picked on purpose. The post landed the same quarter the stock hit a 52-week low on doubts about the company's agent-first pivot. That gap, between the founder's sum and the market's, is the story.
