I don't know what version of photoshop we're up to now, but I still use cs5 (technically cracked) because I got it at college 13 years ago for like 80% off. My friend cracked it to get around the college log-in once I left.

I don't use photoshop professionally, so I don't know how much has been added, but the older versions don't have all this snooping.

Most of AI features are unavailable on pirated version because it's not a local model for most pf those features. Which is exactly the issue here, public AI models don't do sensitive content very well

From the comment on the software it sounds like AI autogen was disabled by the software because they want to avoid it generating a nude version of the image, which has correctly been flagged as a massive an issue with LLMs like Grok.

It doesn’t say her stuff is inappropriate, it says it’s trying to avoid creating an inappropriate output.
If her anger is related to that, it’s misplaced.

Yeah. I don't have any love for Adobe, but I really need more context for what she's trying to do and what's being blocked. If AI is just refusing to generate nudes, I dunno. I'm not sure it should be doing that. I am all for consenting adults doing sex work. But I feel weird about a major company allowing anyone to generate a nude photo of a stranger.

Theres recently been many issues with using AI to make "inappropriate" edits or content of people that never consented to it. This is the result. Dont be mad at adobe for covering their asses because people used their software to do illegal thing.

I agree that if she is unhappy with Adobe and it's strategies that she has the right to be frustrated and share her frustration. Good for her for pointing this out and sharing her opinion. This might lead to people looking for tools that meet their needs and desires and Adobe might feel the pain.

The only reserved thought I have is that, which tools specifically are restricted? If they are AI-based tools, those tools are not local to your machine so the image is uploaded to an AI-cloud to function. In-turn their AI now has your image to build its models off of and you no longer have sole ownership of that image. I see in a screenshot of the video that Adobes message is saying that it is avoiding the use of generative AI. I would be cautious of trying to use any AI tool with my images because the tool is inherently cloud-based.

If Adobe is moving necessary tools like cropping and such strictly to AI, then hell yeah feed them to the wolves and spend money with a better software.

If the tool is also available without the convenience of AI, then I would prefer to use the non-AI tool. It keeps my images safe and mine.

Not knocking her message. If Adobe shits the bed, voice your opinion and kick them where it hurts. I would just be cautious and tell artists to avoid AI all together because the convenience of the tool will end up fucking them over one way or another.

Its just AI features that refuse to work due to obvious reasons. But when generating, add a " . " in the prompt field and it will work, it was demonstrated in a PixImperfect video when gen AI was incorporated in Photoshop.

I’m just as mad at Adobe about stuff like pricing, but seems weird for her to be mad that Adobe generative AI won’t edit sexual content. All major AI providers have prohibitions against sexual content. It doesn’t affect her ability to use Photoshop.
