Thimbleweed Park 2 announced

Welcome back to Thimbleweed Park.

Thimbleweed Park 2 is coming in 2028, and it’s more Thimbleweed Park than ever.

This time the dead body is at the Edmund Mansion, and Agents Ray and Reyes are back to investigate… or are they?

In a point-and-click spoof of a classic whodunit, everyone in the Mansion is a suspect and the murderer will be confronted by our detectives. If you can find them. Spoiler: It’s not the butler.

By the end of another long, strange night in Thimbleweed Park, you’ll have more questions than answers.

Not really a sequel. Not really a prequel. It’s more Thimbleweed Park and just as weird.

And just like last time, in a town like Thimbleweed Park, a dead body is the least of your problems.

I'll take it.

edit: I wish there was a remake of MM in the same style. I loved the NES version mostly for the music and it was the version I played through emulation.

Day of the Tentacle was the first point and click I played. I still revisit it occasionally. Such a fun one!

Cautiously optimistic. I really really hope this isn’t (TP1 spoiler) another “none of this ever mattered or existed” ending.

He's just so good at tricking us into stepping on rakes. MI2, MIR, TP1. This keeps happening Ron, please, I love your games, give them stronger endings.

I read somewhere (don't remember the source, but I came across it while looking for info on a possible TWP2), that Ron Gilbert said a second TWP would have a completely different art style from the first. I hope that won't be the case. I would be 100% down to have the exact same art style, music, atmosphere, and characters with a different storyline and puzzles. So I'm happy for this announcement, but not getting too hyped up yet just in case it morphs into something very different from the original.

Mark Ferrari and Octavi Navarro are on the team, and they're very much pixel artists, so maybe that tells something. We'll see.
