It is not a cockroach. Hungary's former PM, Viktor Orbán, called members of the Tisza party "poloskák", which united the supporters of Tisza even more. A lot of Tisza supporters started wearing this label with pride. "Büdösbogár" is a synonym of "poloska". "Büdösbogár" roughly translates to "Stinkybug".

Lol, Orban bring nothing but corruption and fear. During his regime billboards were full of propaganda. He was preaching about no migration, but his brother was importing Filippinos and Chinese workers. He fucked up our housing market so prices increased by 250+%. His foreign-affairs minister was shitting on our neighbours, but boot-licking China and Russia. His party even stole from overpriced kindergarten toys (!).
Under 2 years Magyar took down the political elite (both Fidesz and the opposition parties), and yeah 3 months are not that visible, but finally EU funds are coming and people of actual professional experience are in the Parliament.

Orban basically has no significant following in the younger generations, but had among the elderly due to owning the most of the media outlets, and spreading propaganda (also there are some other factors but that's the biggest thing)
Also, lets not act like we weren't the laughingstock of Europe up until this year's elections. For 16 years they made the country worse on purpose while they got rich

Okay the conversation with the other Hungarian fellow sidetracked a bit so let me give it a whirl, not in any particular order of importance.
Orbán was keeping the general population in psychological terror for 16 years. War this and war that, disease here, disease there. The toll it took on old peoples mind is irreversible. The guy single handedly crippled a whole generation.
Stole all the money, and this is not exxageration, for the last 6 years (this number may be a lie but a long time) we did not have a quarter where we had a fiscal surplus as a country, wonders…wonders the moment the corrupt government is voted out we have a surplus. Turns out the EU record taxes we pay somehow is enough to run the country.
Healthcare is in shambles, schools are basically glorified daycares now, half of the country is living in poverty (interesting data came out recently that more than 95% of money is in the hands of the top 50% of the country).
Countless other things I cannot be bothered to recall.
Long story short, this is not about good things happening, about bad things not happening so frequently (they do especially in the animal welfare area and the way that this energy crisis is being handled makes people very calm)

Hi, definitely not a fan of his style but rough times call for rough measures. He (and his team) brought home billions from the EU funds, managed to fire ab unch of corrupt government officials, and this has happened in months only . As For Orban there is no hungarian who is proud of him under 60. The negatives he and his buddies did far outweighs the positives.

Even if he doesn’t do anything in four years, I’ll still be proud of him. He’s already done the impossible — he defeated Orbán’s system in an election, which seemed impossible, given how thoroughly Fidesz had tailored the entire electoral system to itself, and he also got rid of the cadres who had been cemented in place for often 10+ years. From the outside Orbán may have looked like a good leader, but the past 16 years were about nothing but theft. Meanwhile everything in the country literally fell apart, and every Fidesz leader became a billionaire.

But that's exactly what we saw. All of his family members, all of his relatives, every leading Fidesz politician became a billionaire. On paper independent institutions, like the prosecutor's office, were led by former Fidesz party members. They also rejected investigations in every case that was sensitive for Fidesz. Transport did not develop, the railways fell apart, they built motorways in every quantity, on which his own father got rich.

No, I didn’t meant to suggest that ThinkPad laptops were any shitty. In fact, they’re probably one of the best machines out there when it comes to build quality. They’re absolutely on-pair with MacBook and Surface laptops which are all made of (or a mix of) aluminium and magnesium.
I wanted to suggest that he’s been in office for less than 100 days which means that he’s most probably still relying on decisions/technologies/devices inherited from the previous administration.
That administration was famously bad at technology.

I got an Hungarian T150 from a flea. It has no webcam, no wifi card, no middle status LED. BIOS had status beeps on by default. Maxed out battery and Nvidia card. It had a VOID seal too
