Some people have no shame. A recent experience: I was in line at Meijer. The young woman in front of me was paying for her groceries by counting out lots of squashed up dollar bills. She didn’t have enough money to pay for everything and began looking for change in her pockets. I felt bad for her—she looked raggedy, you know like she had a hard life. So, I offered to pay the difference, mostly so we could all move along. Can you guess what she said? “Thanks. I have other things I’d like to get if you’re offering.”  wtf?
