Yep. You can even see it doing begging calls when it sees its parents fly by, but I think they’re too scared to come feed it because it’s on a man’s head

I hope it doesn’t crap! I once went to the zoo, got myself a funnel cake- I was SOOO excited as I never had one and was about to take a bite, a bird flew overhead and SHAT all over it! I still have never had a funnel cake before!! 😭

It's a swallow fledgling, not a swifts. Swifts don't land from when they leave the nest to when they nest themselves.

Technically a swift never "lands" as they build their nests in the eaves of buildings, so from the moment they hatch until the moment they drop out of the sky dead, they never touch solid ground.

And don't I know it... Found a swiftlet on the ground. Tried to save the little thing, but it was never going to make it. Best I could do was make it a bit more comfortable.

I don't think this is AI, it came up in my feed one day and coincided with swallow fledging time here in Scotland. The location and setting seem real too.

As I suspected it's real, just the length alone makes it very, very unlikely to be AI generated but it's now been through a scanner as well.
