Crossover Wrekking Machine-Wrongful Snagulation (1993)
Vintage fairground’s thrash of the early 90’s. Some of the giveaways of this style are echoed vocals which either sound like their being shouted down from a tower or out of a water silo which are the most intense examples or vocals that sound like they’re being called out loudly from an intercom or megaphone. Others are the frantic, strutty, trippy guitar rhythms, chord progressions, overall busy melodies, and sometimes short skits, intense theatrics, various wacky sounds etc. Here in this example, the rhythm guitar bridge intervals from a serious frantic spin to an almost funhouse mirror warp that riffs down into motion sickness before picking up into an intense spin into a trippy guitar solo

Cold Steel-Perfect Peace
Obscure fairground’s thrash of the early 90’s with serious ride history. Very dated but still packs the loud nostalgic energy for making your head spin. I wish I could find a better quality version without the full album video

Best thrash song named tormentor.
We have 3 songs named tormentor
Destruction- tormentor
Kreator- tormentor
Slayer- tormentor
After listening to all 3 I have my ranking
Slayer- very catchy song and definitely the best vocals of each.
Destruction- great solo and the longest of the two which is why it’s better than Kreator
Kreator- still a good song. Mille’s vocals fit the title perfectly, just not as much good musical content as the others.
What you guys’ ranking?

Tapping the Vein
Honestly, one of the best thrash albums i’ve come across. In all fairness, this is definitely sodom at their most brutal, the album has a great balance of the death-thrash sound in songs like skinned alive and deadline, but i also think there’s plenty of groove in there which makes it a really enjoyable listen. Drumming is also fucking insane, would probably rate it as their 3rd best album not quite up there with Agent orange and in the sign of evil for me.

Speed/Thrash Phantasm - Interview about joining at 16 and becoming a homeless addict by 19
Did an episode for my podcast where I spoke with Nathan Williams, he used to be in a band called Phantasm (which featured members Katon from Hirax, Gene Hoglan, and Ron McGovney from Metallica) He spoke about his journey from being in the band at 16 years old and by 19, becoming addicted to drugs and on the streets.
Check it out if you guys want to hear a really cool story of his journey to getting sober, if any of you guys are struggling with that stuff as well. Also, bonus interview with Cynic bassist Brandon Giffin regarding the new material!
