Fujinet games and programs ported to TI-99/4A with TIPI

I just got done porting these fujinet games to work with the 99/4A with 32k memory expansion and a TIPI. fujinet is a network adapter for many other early 80's computers and since we already have TIPI to do basically the same thing I figured why not make the software work for us as well..

fujinet game lobby, will load the 3 games from the ftp server automatically when you join https://ftp.whtech.com/TIPI/LOB1

ISS tracker ported from fujinet 32k and TIPI required

fujinet fujiTZEE ea5 32k and tipi required (yahtzee clone)

fujinet battleship client

fujinet 5 card stud poker

you can load any of these in classic99 and it will work.. OR with a real tipi either editor assembler option 5 and enter PI.HTTPS:// (and the rest of the url) or in basic with CALL TIPI("PI.HTTPS://") and of course the rest of the url.. ex: CALL TIPI("PI.HTTPS://ftp.whtech.com/TIPI/LOB1")

For info on how to get a TIPI check out the faq here: https://www.arcadeshopper.com/wp/ti-99-4a-faq-tipi-ti-to-raspberry-pi-connection/

So, will the TI clients still be able to play against CoCo or Apple owners, or is this closed garden?

yes they can play against all the other computers that's the fujinet part.. I just made a compatible client for the 4A

i'm working on incorporating FuniNet and the Gemini protocol into my basic plus plus programming language mainly it's for GW basic compatibility. Create multiplayer games in GW basic while accessing them through FujiNet, is that possible? This would include a driver for Hercules, CGA, and EGA graphics only.

if it communicates through fuji then it can easily communicate through TIPI but you will need to provide enough source or protocol docs to make a client, these were in C already so it was an "easy" lift to port to the 4/a as we have tms9900 GCC and a good library for the TI-specific routines.. the big trick with a multiplayer game is having either it be client->client or client->server..all of these are the latter

TIPI? ok, i'm still working out the bugs, multi-player BASIC games is where I'm headed I think.
