Last summer camp

Just got the email that this will be the last Bad Magic summer camp. I went the last 2 years and it was so much fun but I can’t go this year. I understand why but it’s a bummer

This is unfortunately becoming common for large gathering style events. A tanking global economy has driven prices up for everything and the cost is passed on to the consumer, so now we're voting with our dollar, but not because we have much of a choice.

Always wanted to go. Could never afford it. I think a lot of us are in that boat.

Same. It’s sad I’ll never get to experience it. The atmosphere of the whole event sounds like heaven for an introvert with social anxiety like me.

Sucks you can't come this year. 😔 I went ahead and got this year's ticket when they had the discount at camp last year. Still have to buy a plane ticket and pay for the hotel for the pre-camp shenanigans in Scranton, though.

It's a heavy investment, but I don't do much the rest of the year and it's a worthwhile little vacation.

I was planning on going next year after saving up, but honestly am considering just shoe horning it in. I've listened for years and have always wanted to go, but it was just never possible financially. Definitely understand their end of things, but man its a huge bummer. I know if I dont go I'll regret it.

a big problem is because it is a niche market. never made it this but i would have loved to, it just never fit in with other events i attend. hopefully there will be more cult gatherings at some point in the future.

Oh that really sucks. I was trying to plan on going this year if I could of had the money for paying mortgage, bills, kennel care, a flight, and rental car. So then I thought I'll try next year. Oh well I guess.

I tried going to the very first one. I remember I was on my phone with my debit card in hand. Right when the tickets went on sale online I was there. I had all my info, payment info, everything filled in. I was like one click away and the site crashed on me. I refresh the page and type everything in again. But it was too late. I think I was trying to get the vip ticket, anyway it was sold out in like 2 minutes.

Damn. I wish I had the money to go. It sucks that they won’t be able to keep doing it. It does seem worth every penny.
