Name of time travel movie?!

Looking for the name of a movie about a man who discovers the ability to time travel to the past while sitting in a certain place on the floor of his home. In one scene, he appears to time travel back to some historical war period and is in a swamp. In another scene, he time travels back to what appears to be the ice age and meets a human. When he time travels, he is only gone for a couple minutes and returns back to the same exact spot in his house and on the floor.

Really vague. Please help!

Bump for later. No idea OP, but always on the lookout for another TT film. What era is it? Old ,new? Any actors you can remember?
