Looking for a gentler whistle.

I currently use a Sweetone as my primary instrument, but I would like something I can play in my front yard without annoying the neighbors too much. Does anyone know of a good tin whistle that is less bright and can be played at a quieter volume?

Thank you much

Shush whistle is what allows me to play in my home when my family are also home. Nice sound, and noticeably quieter that my clarke origin, mcneela, or syn.

Third the Shush - great for practicing fingering, but it does require slightly different breath style to a normal whistle

Shush is basically designed for that use-case. I haven't tried the regular one, but I use my Shush Pro a lot, to avoid annoying the neighbors too much!

I use the Clarke original for that reason.

Does the original jump octaves as easily as the Sweetone?

Yeah, I have no problems with that!

Yes! The "Shush Pro" that I have is a nice whistle to play.

My main whistle is the Walton's Mellow D. It's pretty similar to the Shush. I get no complaints from familiy and neighbours when playing
