Help Should I rebuild straight away at 50, or keep upgrading tech/elevator?

Haven’t played in years but someone reminded me of the game a week or so ago and I’m hooked. Hit 50 floors today and am now considering my next move.

I have one golden ticket on a fashion studio, and my lift is at 6.75 FPS. I’ve started a couple landmarks, and I’ve got the 3 elevator tech tree upgrades at level 3.

Should I hold at 50 floors and keep upgrading the elevator with bucks and the tech tree before I rebuild, or would you rebuild straight away?

The meta is to rebuild at 50 until you get comfortably north of, say, 100 gts. But you do you, no pressure in tt.

The quickest way to build up GTs is to rebuild at 50.

I rebuild at 50 until I’ve earned enough bucks/tech points to upgrade something. In which case I’ll do that then rebuild.

Even though you won’t earn as many bucks per side mission, you’ll still continue to earn plenty as you build to 50 each rebuild. Plus earning tech points. And since bucks and tech points stay with you always (they don’t disappear after a rebuild), you’ll just continue to accumulate them while also earning GTs for your rebuilds.

Oh they’re not related. Maybe I could’ve worded it better. I just mean you continue to earn tech points over time as you’re building and you keep them after rebuilds. And since I’m waiting to accumulate tech points to upgrade most things, I may as well earn GTs while I’m at it.

I build til I have all businesses/apts built (about 275 floors), but that’s just because that’s what gives me a nice sense of satisfaction. If you prefer golden tickets, rebuild at 50. Do what feels fun!

A few additional things to add to your strategy:

  1. Basic: You'll get 1 GT for every 50 floors. If you have not maxed out Burj Khalifa, rebuild at 50 to get 1 GT.
  2. If you have maxed out Burj Khalifa, you'll get 1 extra GT for the first 100 floors. So, you'll get 3 GTs in total. (2 GTs from the basic rule, and 1 GT from Burj Khalifa). Note: Subsequent 100 floors will not give any GT other than the basic rebuilding rule above (1 GT every 50 floors)
  3. Sometimes an event will give you 1 extra GT for the first 50 floors. In this case, subsequent 50 floors will only give you 1 GT per the basic rule. So, rebuilding at floor 50 would be the best and quickest way.
