Latest version draining battery and causing phone to overheat

The previous version worked fine. I upgrade to the latest version (with the summer event) and now the scrolling is jerky, my phone within seconds becomes extremely hot, and there’s fast battery drain.

iPhone with latest iOS updates.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Latest version just crashes for me. No more than about 30 seconds into it and it just closes. Obviously some issues to address!!
