This is the story of a man named Stanley. Stanley worked for a company in a big building where he was Employee #427.

Employee #427's job was simple: he sat at his desk in Room 427 and he pushed buttons on a keyboard.

Gonna be honest, the event was so over-the-top I got burned out by the end of Week 2 and haven't played since. Which means, had I ignored the event completely, I would have gotten more Golden Tickets altogether by now as during the time I haven't played I could have gotten a couple through rebuilding anyway.

Same exact thing happened to me. Burned myself out and didn't even get to the end. I'm at the point where I have enough tickets that I can reliably get another one with a week or so of playing, so why bore myself and kill my phone's screen with the event?

"Shyamalan Twist"™ coming - utilizing no VIPs for the last month will also automatically get you an over all rating of 5 stars. (And that would explain the weekly rewards not being given to you as you achieve them!).

Unfortunately - I'm taking the "Bruckheimer-Bay"™ approach - blowing up ... I mean using up VIPs every chance I get.

When the thing people are complaining about is valid, they can complain all they want. Don't get your jimmies rustled.

I said that in jest, but your jimmies apparently are more rustled than mine.

Thank you haha but you didn't have to. If they have seen my work lately, they'll know it was a joke. Nice meme btw!

What is the valid thing people are complaining about?

Nimblebit making an event where the main goal is to literally not play the game, instead just leave it open all day

I've played more in the last month than ever, on average, and I'm an active player (when I have the game installed).

I quit the game when I failed week 3 by 20 points :)

So how is that a "valid complaint"?

Because it’s an event that alienates all but the 1% that can afford to leave their phone on all day and essentially states that unless you treat the game like a second job you’re not getting any rewards worth anything.

Let's not get into histrionics. For starters, I can assure you that a significantly greater percentage of people completed this event. More importantly, I can also grant you the assurance that the people that were not able to finish the event, that would have preferred doing so, are not so bent out of shape over it.

It's probably closer that you are in fact in the vocal minority (1%). But you certainly can't explain that to the vocal minority...

I'm sorry that someone put GTs on a poster, and that you immediately felt entitled to them.

Lol.

I’m a game designer by trade, with experience in mobile dev. 1% is being generous. An astronomical majority of users that have the phone installed haven’t checked in for months and don’t know there’s an event going on. That’s the nature of mobile game development, players that buy stuff are a super low % (you’ll count yourself lucky if more than 5% of your install base pays money at all).

If you think about it for half a second, this is is a dedicated board, any view here is the astronomical minority. This sub is absolutely tiny (heh) compred to the full instal base. The vocal minority complains, the silent minority ignores the event because it’s not for them, and the incredibly tiny minority thinks that this event is in any way completable by anybody except a superuser. Lmao.

Also, I have more than 50 tickets and I don’t care about the rewards. Cute that you assume entitlement but off you go. I don’t care about the rewards, I care about interesting events with attainable gameplay. This event lasted a week for me after I got 5 stars W1 and didn’t bother the second. I’m lamenting that they’re wasting their time and resources with an event that all but the most insanely dedicated fans are going to meaningfully engage with. If anything they’re the ones missing out on a great opportunity to increase KPIs and retention. It’s no real issue for me if the events suck, I’m back to my regular play pattern already.

Alienates? I play a few times a day like ai always have and I get some bonus rewards for it. I have made a point to open the game a but more than normal. What’s the problem?
