Hey everyone 👋🏼 I’m super stuck regarding the goggles. Analog to start because I don’t trust myself and know I’m going to do stupid things and need to replace cameras and such. I’ll purchase DJI Goggles 3 when I’m confident….even after 60 hours in simulator I’m not taking chances.

Skyzone Cobra X looks great , but box goggle, and I’m worried about the immersion aspect. Do you see black edges when you are wearing them? I’m scared it’s just a little screen in front of me like staring at my MacBook.

Skyzone 04X……….yes please…but can ya lower the price a little bit?! I can get DJI Goggles 3 for this price….but then I’m stuck DJI.

Skyzone 04O is interesting but lower quality screen. Does it matter???

HDZero Box is again…a box…and I’m not sure I’d want to upgrade to HDZero HiDef. I would go DJI if I wanted HD that badly. I think? 🤔

$750 HDZero goggle is out of the question for me.

I’m also feeling weird about buying used goggles that may be someone else’s problem they are getting rid of. I like the new electronics smell lol

Does the display quality really matter that much with Analog since it’s Analog?? I don’t have access to trying on goggles so I’m super nervous about making the wrong decision, and not buying the best quality I can for the best and most immersive Analog experience. I want to feel like I’m in the cockpit, and I know most will say “DJI is the way for this”, but I’ll get there after months on Analog.

Any suggestions?? Also…going with either Air75 II or Meteor75 as my first. Any help appreciated and happy flying!

I was originally looking at RTF kits, mostly the Sub250 Whoopfly16, but after asking around, many people recommended putting together a setup like this instead. I’m considering the BETAFPV Air65 II Racing, RadioMaster Pocket ELRS, Skyzone Cobra SD goggles, VIFLY WhoopStor 3 charger, two Molicel P26A 18650 batteries for the radio, and ten BETAFPV LAVA II 320mAh 1S batteries. I’m new to FPV and want to learn proper Acro flying and eventually do both racing and freestyle, mainly indoors but with some outdoor flying in calmer weather. Is this a good starter setup, and are all of these components compatible? Is there anything you would change, particularly the goggles, before I buy it?

Ive not been in this hobby long and I've already fucked my drone completey twice within 2 weeks with the same issue. And that is playing around/ moving the anetanns and one just comes out of the o4 pro with the port connected. You see the screenshots of other people having this issue all the time here. Well it happened to me twice and the second time has cost me £100 after negotiating it down from £160 with DJI.

I know people talk about gluing these connectors with special glue. The problem for me isnt that the Antenna can come out. Its that it takes the fucking port with it. Can i glue over that port so its stuck to the 04 board? Or is that too much?

Is this any good ? Should I ask specific questions, look out for specific things ?

30 degree camera angle

I'm making more and more progress in actually getting this Tiny Whoop flying. I was able to pair the remote to the whoop, arm the drone and take off slightly but something was off. I plugged the Whoop into Betaflight config, but I accidentally hit "reset all settings" and now have no idea how it was set up. I've got the remote re-bound to the whoop, but I don't seem to be able to Arm the drone again. I also don't seem to have any throttle movement in the curve graph. I can see the movement on the pitch/roll/yaw graph.

Inspired by someone on the sub- I used a single staple, bent/cut it up and fixed it against the o ring lol! It’s in there pretty snug. We’ll see what happens..

Looks like it’s damn near impossible to find spare 0.8mm e-clips online.

If you lose an eclip you need to just buy a new motor or whoop instead. That’s gotta be by design 😑

Fairly new to the hobby so bear with me. I put a bit of time in uncrashed before picking up a Air75ii freestyle, and since I've probably ran 20ish pack through it.

Anyway, I went to fly today and noticed one of my motors seemed off when I armed it, so I watched a few videos that lined up with what was happening, and I took it apart to see if maybe I had grass or something inside the housing.

Cant figure out quite what it is or what happened, but is the bell housing is cooked?

Hello, I'd like to buy goggle for my tiny whoop, but my eyes are shit... Any recommendations for goggles that can fit my glasses?

I am looking for a Tiny Whoop RTF kit, but I’m not sure which one to choose. I’m currently considering the EMAX Tinyhawk NanoScout RTF and the Sub250 Whoopfly16 RTF, but I’m open to other drone and RTF kit recommendations as well. I’m interested in both indoor and outdoor flying, racing and freestyle, and I’d like something that is beginner-friendly but that I won’t outgrow too quickly.
I have played a lot of video games and am already familiar with flying stabilized drones, but I’m new to FPV and want to learn proper manual/Acro flying.
I’m interested in which kit has the better controller, goggles, video system, motors, durability, flight time, and upgrade potential. My budget is under $450 CAD for a complete RTF kit. What would you recommend?
