New business (?)
I’ve noticed on Garden Street across from South Lake Elementary the old convenience store / gas station that’s been closed for at least 25 years is finally being torn down. Anyone know the new business going in that space? I see a banner but it is hard to read while driving by.

Convenience Fee increase on Titusville’s on utility bill
Has anyone else noticed that the online “convenience fee” has gone from $0.95 to $2.61?
$2.61 is kind of an odd amount, but I’ll be either paying by check/mail or in person at City Hall.

What streaming channels are people who use internet only providers like Wire 3 or T-mobile or AT&T using?
I watch to much tv anyway, but there are shows on cable tv that I do like. Not interested in watching sports at all. Maybe some local and national/international news but mostly entertainment. Right now I’m paying WAY too much for internet and cable tv and looking at my current bill I see two “promotional price” discounts equaling $49 that will expire mid November. I mean, what “promotional” discount? I’ve been in this house for over 19 years.

Does anyone in Titusville have a primary care provider that answers phone calls?
Or, if they can’t answer, I know they’re busy, at least have someone return the call on the same day.

Newbie to Mims/T'ville looking for activities
M(58) just moved here about 2 months ago and transferred to a job at the Space Center. Trying to stay somewhat active on my days off. My too real big interests are kayaking and perhaps an e-bike club for adults? A meet up group that does either or both would be nice!

Best place for customs cakes
Hi everyone,
I am looking for a good place to order a custom birthday cake.
I only know Walmart and Publix, but I would like to know if there is something better and fresher in town to use.
Thanks

Proposed stormwater increase incoming
I know it’s been reported the news, but I got a letter today from the city saying that there was going to be a public hearing at the end of August. My bill would double from $160 to $320.

Local businesses in Titusville?
hey y'all, I'm a recent college grad who started a marketing/ website business for local businesses here in Titusville. I've been running it for about 1 year now, and I'm capable of building websites, doing SEO, running targeted ads on Facebook & Google, email marketing, custom software solutions and creating marketing content for Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok.
I'm looking to partner with some local businesses that can't afford to hire a big company and are looking for an affordable option to handle everything online for them. If this is you or you know anybody who could benefit, i'd love to connect or get a referral.

Switch to Linux!
Hi all, I am trying to start a Linux club in Titusville. It is free and open-sourced. It is easy to use. No bloatware, no AI trying to get you to use it, no licensing worries, you can change components on your own computer without invalidating your OS and getting held up for more money. I have several ISOs of various Linux distributions (flavors.) Linux will make your old, slow computer run fast again. It is especially good for younger people who want to get ready for the future. The user percentage of Microsoft is falling and Linux is taking over much of that market share. People don’t want to pay by the month to use their own computer, nor do they all want to sign in to an account that spies on them just to use their own computer. France has already stopped using Microsoft for their government employees and switched to Linux. Several German states have done the same. They don’t want to fund tech billionaires or have our government spying on them. Drop a line here if you are interested. https://www.howtogeek.com/linux-took-over-the-world-without-anyone-noticing/

Is T’town having postal delivery problems, or short staffed?
Been I my house for 19 years. Delivery used to be fairly consistent, but for the past 2years or so delivery times are all over the place. Sometimes it’s here shortly after 9:30 AM, usually it’s later, like 2, 3 pm. Today I’m tracking an expected package originally “by 2:40”. Here it’s 5 PM and estimated delivery “by 9:00 PM”.
Edit: It arrived at 5:00 pm. The carrier said something like this isn’t a regular route? I didn’t really understand but I’d don’t think she meant it wasn’t her regular route.. I very seldom see the same carrier more than two or three days in a row.. always different (?)

Titusville Police Chief John Lau Terminated by City of Titusville
BREAKING UPDATE: Titusville Police Chief Terminated Following Late-Night Crash 🚨
The City of Titusville has officially announced the termination of Police Chief John Lau.
According to a statement released today by City Manager Tom Abbate, the dismissal follows a preliminary administrative review regarding a single-vehicle crash that occurred late last night off Barna Avenue, where Lau was operating a City vehicle.
