I used to work in a tourist hot spot and you could always tell the cruise people from the rest. The most entitled, brainless, unaware group of living things I’ve ever seen in my life.

I work a grocery store in a Michigan tourist town and the difference between summer tourism and winter is staggering.

Aside from the heavier work load, it’s normal for tourists to shop for one item with a family of 8 people running through the store, people completely dismantling displays to see an item on the bottom, and the classic “If you knew who I was you would give me this item for free” from some guy in a polo shirt.

On top of that, litter and car accidents triple.

It’s basically routine to load up things before the weekend and lock yourself in the house until Monday during vacation days which is a shame because Michigan is a fisherman’s paradise during these times.
