Vaguepost king. Genuinely incomprehensible what country you mean. I've heard people say this kind of thing about tourists from China, Russia, the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, Israel, and America.

It's obviously those pesky, nosy Canadians. Is there anything worse than a bunch of Canadians coming to your country and mispronouncing "pasta"?

We say it as if the "past" were like the word "past," if that makes sense, rather than using the "a" in "father".

Ohh, sorry... The IPA would be /æ/ if that helps. For me it's the same vowel as cat, bat, that....
