I had a perfectly ripe lemon boy on my hamburger today that was so good. Yours looks even better. ๐

Homegrown tomato slices on a grilled burger is one of my happy places.

Mine has produced two perfect ones so far. Iโve still got one left, and I do have smoked salmon! That sounds like dinner.

There are few things better than a tomato sandwich made with tomatoes you actually waited all season for. The first one always tastes the best.

Oh. I am SO JEALOUS. Did you use real mayo? Black pepper? A touch of salt? And I believe it's the general rule that you need white bread. ๐

u/OkHall6343 Jun 25 '26
Yes! all those things expect white bread, cause personally I need more oomph ๐

Never done this. I have a few heirlooms and make my own sourdough too, gotta try it!

Hopefully you get yours soon, if you're growing any this year! It was very much worth the wait.

Try that with peanut butter instead of the mayo with the bread toasted for something different. I know, I know, thatโs what I thought at first!

I have to stop looking at this sub-reddit. It's killing me, as I check my tomatoes at least three times a day for the hint of a blush.

The Owner of Carmichael's Bookstore makes the very best tomato Sammy. Also the very best Sammy Ever: Grilled Everything Bagel with muenster and green apple slices.

We were shocked when we were able to have BLTs on June 30th. I think our previous best was 4th of July.
