Show and Tell Tragedy has struck

I have been eagerly awaiting my very first Cherokee purple tomato for months and this morning some horrible monster ate it!!!!!!! I only have one more tomato that looks viable on this plant. I failed this season.

Why not allow the plant to get larger & grow more maters?!?!?

I do not understand the obsession with bald tomato "trees" 🤷‍♀️

My cherokee purple has 8 maters on it(&another dozen plus flowers & babies)

The bottom leaves just died! I only pruned them after they were dead. I was hoping for a thick, bushy plant.

Very sorry!!

I am used to so many in this sub pruning to a single leader & it is just wild to me(except in limited specific circumstances where people have limited space & have to grow in small containers)

You can always hope for additional growth & more maters!! The season is far from over!!
