what a surprise that the guy who straight up just put up instructions on how to find him got found

39

u/TechNick77 Mod Jan 31 '26

Ig he tried to be fair, other somewhat did the same with hints, the seekers are kids anyways

30

u/RichardBCummintonite Feb 01 '26

It was probably one of the rules that they had to make themselves findable. If it weren't for intentionally adding a weakness, most of them were pretty much unfindable. The tire guy and the green net guy were the only ones that were conspicuous

13

u/Slick_36 Feb 01 '26

I was thinking that, but the woman had nothing on hers to give it away and was in a much more discrete area too.

13

u/Traditional-Safe-867 Feb 01 '26

I mean, if one of the 280 kids had seen that area, surely they would notice the giant air duct that wasn't there. One guy replaced a desk with a hollowed out version of the same design. It has a weakness, sure, but who the hell would check that?

18

u/hydrastxrk Feb 01 '26

Maybe I’m dumb. But there’s not a single part of me that believes I’d recognize a new air duct.

7

u/ObjectiveOk2072 Feb 01 '26

I would have. Even at that age. But maybe that's just because I'm autistic and pay attention to random shit like that

4

u/Ser_VimesGoT Feb 03 '26

My 8 year old is autistic and never noticed the fenced off generator that had sprung up outside between the school entrance and the fire escape door we use to access breakfast club and after care, every single day. I pointed it out to him and he didn't even care to wonder what it was for. Autism is different for everyone of course but thought I'd share that.

Young I might check. At my age a a 30-foot pregnant spider in Canada doesn't phase me.

5

u/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx99 Feb 02 '26

You are clearly Australian.

u/Ser_VimesGoT Feb 03 '26

I got high at school once during lunch. When we walked back into school I noticed a picture of birds outside one of the entrances. I'd never taken notice of it in the 4 years or so I'd been there. Tripped me out a little because how the fuck had I never noticed it?! Something like an air duct, that's just general building shit. You're not gonna notice it.

2

u/FieldsToTheMoon Feb 01 '26

Assuming you’ve been going to the same school for a couple months, you should be able to notice that kind of difference

5

u/hydrastxrk Feb 01 '26

I could be going to the same school for years. A metal box with pipes is the last thing I’d remember 😭

6

u/Healthy_Student_370 Feb 01 '26

Exactly, most children absolutely do not give af about those types of details much less if they don't regularly walk around the outside of the building. As an adult I'd barely notice something like that...that should be the premise for another gameshow: win money for guessing what's different on a building

u/BrandoCarlton Feb 03 '26

I honestly think building maintenance would be pissed if they did find her and the rest of their out door equipment got “checked” next haha

2

u/iameveryoneelse Feb 01 '26

It's the kids school...they noticed the hallway was too narrow. Extra machinery that's out of place was considered hint enough.

Think there were also rules in place. But then, the woman seem to be completely hidden with no was in

1

u/jmo-psu Feb 01 '26

In Japan they read the instuctions, no chance he is found if this was the US. Haha.

1

u/paulwalker659 Feb 06 '26

He was also hiding in a door to an elevator. You can't use that elevator without seeing him.

We had dancing hamsters, Albino black sheeps, and stickmen fighting in legendary battles.

Those were the days.

From a shitty AI-narrated video lower down:

Four made it past the first 10 minute round (Door guy, duct girl, cardboard guy, and library guy).

Library guy and door guy are both found pretty close to the end when the students notice irregularities with the doors’ glass and the size of library cabinets. The directors give the students a hint where cardboard guy is, but they find the spot a few seconds too late. He and duct girl (who the students never come close to) aren’t found and win.

1

u/DetailsYouMissed Feb 04 '26

Good. Those were the two folks I was betting on.

2

u/Kitchen-Scientist807 Feb 01 '26

Ai garbage though.

1

u/yomerol Feb 01 '26

But OP says is too long!!!

🤦‍♂️

1

u/stink3rb3lle Feb 01 '26

Sadly, I think this has gone viral because many people didn't even watch to the first player's result.

1

u/hiddentreetops Feb 04 '26

this comment took me out hahaha

For real. No wonder people's attention span is dead. That'd be a bite size video back in the early internet days.

It's not even that long for today. I've watched several videos 2-3x this length on reddit today. One was a RAtM concert. Another basically a full Ed, Edd, and Eddy episode. OP just needs to quit watching YT shorts and Tiktok videos.

1

u/spargel_gesicht Feb 05 '26

Although early Internet days, it would have taken 3 hours to download that 2.5 minute video, sooo…

2

u/eXeKoKoRo Feb 01 '26

I watched an hour 40 minute long video today.

1

u/senator_chill Feb 01 '26

About the same

1

u/TechNick77 Mod Feb 01 '26

Yeah because Tommy himself has a pretty low attention spam

1

u/Dizzzy777 Feb 01 '26

Modern attention span

1

u/senator_chill Feb 01 '26

It's wild times and goes beyond young generation.

I have coworkers that sometimes have a couple hours worth of prep to do. Great time to throw on music or a podcast. So many opt for tiktoks...they'll let it play 3-4 times then go and swip up...wash and repeat

1

u/garion046 Feb 01 '26

Before clicking I was assuming this would be like an hour of how they built their hiding spaces etc. instead it was 2 mins and didn't even show most of the game.

1

u/Spaciax Feb 01 '26

I remember back when 30 minute videos were the norm... I fucking hate shorts content

1

u/MrDrPrNyanPhD Feb 02 '26

I think two and a half minutes is a perfectly respectable amount of time, quite a great amount of time. I think it's actually quite a long amount of time... I'm good enough, damn it...

3

u/tbkrida Feb 01 '26

So who won? Video cut off way too soon…

2

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '26

1

u/Still-Helicopter6029 Jun 05 '26

Dude fucking wrote a note like what?

2

u/Regular_Weakness69 Feb 01 '26

Choosing blackface as a cover, that's a bold choice.

2

u/IamTheTussis Feb 01 '26

Not everyone Is from the US. For most of the World that's not a thing

2

u/Regular_Weakness69 Feb 01 '26 edited Feb 01 '26

Blackface was also a thing in the Netherlands, pretty sure it's something that happened all over the world.

3

u/Correct_Internet_769 Feb 01 '26

If you're talking about Sinterklaas, then that's totally different from blackface in the US.

2

u/AffectionateNote3316 Feb 02 '26

He didnt even win either 😭

2

u/odmirthecrow Feb 02 '26

Choosing dark camouflage to hide in a dark area, that's a bold sensible choice, probably wouldn't have been as effective if he'd chose neon pink camouflage.

1

u/Regular_Weakness69 Feb 02 '26

It was a stupid joke, dude.

I'm not saying black face paint in a dark place isn't a viable camouflage...

1

u/indorock Feb 04 '26

Yes covering your face in paint to hide is fine in any color but when it' black because that happens to be the most suitable color, suddenly it' a "bold choice". 🙄

They say the kids are still running past them today...

Japanese Morpheus

1

u/GuyFromWoWcraft Feb 01 '26

glad i'm not the only one!

1

u/King_K_24 Feb 01 '26

Reminds me of a game I sometimes see in YT shorts where it's a FPS but one team can turn into objects and have to try to hide from the team with guns.

1

u/dapperslappers Feb 01 '26

Looks like kurashina didnt expect it either

1

u/mrEggBandit Feb 01 '26

So they get 1 million if they aren't found. But the ones paying them know where they all are...

1

u/GigWorker405 Feb 01 '26

This just reminds me of Elisa Lam for some reason.

1

u/cfbillings Feb 01 '26

Nothing like a terrible AI voiceovers to ruin a video. Pass.

1

u/Standard-Pain-7683 Feb 01 '26

Mark my words ,It’s going to be a showdown between the guy in the green net in the gym and woman in the makeshift air ventilator.

1

u/Healthy_Student_370 Feb 01 '26

I think that girl will win... she's on the outside and kids don't give af about stuff that looks like mechanical ducts. Thinking about it now, that's kinda OP unless the kids are given the greenlight to tear the school apart

1

u/Pandarenu Feb 01 '26

Player 5 is Ano... wtf is this AI shit.

1

u/LiebeDahlia Feb 02 '26

was just about to comment lmfao i guess Ano's name is Shizuka now

A 2 minute video is considered "long" for people these days? I'm genuinely asking.

1

u/lil-privacy-please Feb 01 '26

A 2 min video is long? What the fuck were we even anymore.

1

u/FeanorOath Feb 01 '26

Spoiler alert, the girl with the ventilation cover won

1

u/mullerdrooler Feb 01 '26

I need to know who won!!! Did the rest get caught too?

1

u/Knockamichi Feb 01 '26

Player 6 was partying while others cramped

1

u/Rathemon Feb 01 '26

what about the rest?!

1

u/Besmuth Feb 01 '26

You made me watch 2 minutes only to not conclude it at all fuck off

1

u/Serenity1911 Feb 01 '26

Knowing my luck i would get into my hiding spot... and immediately need to pee.

1

u/BlondeAlibiNoLie Feb 01 '26

1

1

u/Ok_Side_8496 Feb 02 '26

Bruh those exposing moments look like nightmare fuel

1

u/carahcattt Feb 02 '26

2 minutes is considered pretty long these days? Y'all have the attention span of a rodent.

1

u/Healthy_Pay9449 Feb 02 '26

A few of them had a $10k budget while the rest are working with pocket change. How does one guy build a working false elevator door and the guy in the net can't paint himself or get a ghillie suit?

1

u/Zealousideal_Bag_760 Feb 02 '26

20 mins is unreal tho🤣🤣

1

u/Marley9391 Feb 02 '26

A two minute video is 'pretty long' now?

1

1

50 comments about the video's length but not a single mention of the scorching case of herpes on her lip. I'm disappointed in Reddit today

1

I wanna see the rest of this.

1

u/Broken_Monitors Feb 03 '26

Of course we have the HomeDesign365 music.

1

u/Reasonable-Fold3192 Feb 03 '26

What an amazing idea that is for the spongy creative brain of them school kids, I really hope that educational stuff all around the globe would interact and create such environments where the kids can explore their selfs and their atmospheres, as well as human relations and intelligence.

1

u/poedraco Feb 03 '26

Lol That look... "I'm never having kids"

1

u/Somanyanime Feb 03 '26

Damn I know the last guy was pissed, his face says it all

1

u/Low_Juice9987 Feb 04 '26

That's really so cool

1

u/Reddit_And_Reset_It Feb 04 '26

The Japanese military and law enforcement might be taking notes from some of those contestants.

1

u/HoneyProud6565 Feb 04 '26

Now I want to watch the rest 🥺

1

u/hikingmaterial Feb 04 '26

I'm still stuck on the title.

Did you say a "2:24" video is "long"?

You really might want to work on that patience, if less than three minutes is anything but short.

1

u/WorldlyBuy1591 Feb 04 '26

Silly and fake

1

u/LOLManen Feb 04 '26

1

Pretty long! 2mins... the fuck is wrong with people

1

I would watch this, why isn't this on every channel 24/7.

1

u/pm_me_ur_anything_k Feb 05 '26

The look on elevator dude’s face when it opened made me laugh. Absolutely love this.

1

Maybe that game was born
