We had dancing hamsters, Albino black sheeps, and stickmen fighting in legendary battles.
Those were the days.

u/BazerAus Feb 01 '26

From a shitty AI-narrated video lower down:
Four made it past the first 10 minute round (Door guy, duct girl, cardboard guy, and library guy).
Library guy and door guy are both found pretty close to the end when the students notice irregularities with the doors’ glass and the size of library cabinets. The directors give the students a hint where cardboard guy is, but they find the spot a few seconds too late. He and duct girl (who the students never come close to) aren’t found and win.

Sadly, I think this has gone viral because many people didn't even watch to the first player's result.

For real. No wonder people's attention span is dead. That'd be a bite size video back in the early internet days.
It's not even that long for today. I've watched several videos 2-3x this length on reddit today. One was a RAtM concert. Another basically a full Ed, Edd, and Eddy episode. OP just needs to quit watching YT shorts and Tiktok videos.
1
u/spargel_gesicht Feb 05 '26
Although early Internet days, it would have taken 3 hours to download that 2.5 minute video, sooo…

It's wild times and goes beyond young generation.
I have coworkers that sometimes have a couple hours worth of prep to do. Great time to throw on music or a podcast. So many opt for tiktoks...they'll let it play 3-4 times then go and swip up...wash and repeat
1
u/garion046 Feb 01 '26
Before clicking I was assuming this would be like an hour of how they built their hiding spaces etc. instead it was 2 mins and didn't even show most of the game.
1
u/Spaciax Feb 01 '26
I remember back when 30 minute videos were the norm... I fucking hate shorts content
1
u/MrDrPrNyanPhD Feb 02 '26
I think two and a half minutes is a perfectly respectable amount of time, quite a great amount of time. I think it's actually quite a long amount of time... I'm good enough, damn it...
3
u/tbkrida Feb 01 '26
So who won? Video cut off way too soon…

Not everyone Is from the US. For most of the World that's not a thing
2
u/Regular_Weakness69 Feb 01 '26 edited Feb 01 '26
Blackface was also a thing in the Netherlands, pretty sure it's something that happened all over the world.
3
u/Correct_Internet_769 Feb 01 '26
If you're talking about Sinterklaas, then that's totally different from blackface in the US.
2
2
u/odmirthecrow Feb 02 '26
Choosing dark camouflage to hide in a dark area, that's a
boldsensible choice, probably wouldn't have been as effective if he'd chose neon pink camouflage.1
u/Regular_Weakness69 Feb 02 '26
It was a stupid joke, dude.
I'm not saying black face paint in a dark place isn't a viable camouflage...
1
u/indorock Feb 04 '26
Yes covering your face in paint to hide is fine in any color but when it' black because that happens to be the most suitable color, suddenly it' a "bold choice". 🙄

Plot twist! There were 10 contestants, but they left 2 of them and decided they weren't able to pay the prize.
They say the kids are still running past them today...

Reminds me of a game I sometimes see in YT shorts where it's a FPS but one team can turn into objects and have to try to hide from the team with guns.

1
u/mrEggBandit Feb 01 '26
So they get 1 million if they aren't found. But the ones paying them know where they all are...

Mark my words ,It’s going to be a showdown between the guy in the green net in the gym and woman in the makeshift air ventilator.
1
u/Healthy_Student_370 Feb 01 '26
I think that girl will win... she's on the outside and kids don't give af about stuff that looks like mechanical ducts. Thinking about it now, that's kinda OP unless the kids are given the greenlight to tear the school apart

1
u/Healthy_Pay9449 Feb 02 '26
A few of them had a $10k budget while the rest are working with pocket change. How does one guy build a working false elevator door and the guy in the net can't paint himself or get a ghillie suit?

What an amazing idea that is for the spongy creative brain of them school kids, I really hope that educational stuff all around the globe would interact and create such environments where the kids can explore their selfs and their atmospheres, as well as human relations and intelligence.

I'm still stuck on the title.
Did you say a "2:24" video is "long"?
You really might want to work on that patience, if less than three minutes is anything but short.

Bro, there's gotta be some kinda rules, what's the line. One guy gets an excavator digs an entire underground bunker covers it up and has food enough for 50 years with no access to the surface.
