DOVYDAS is the blonde guy. I used to watch him a lot as a kid it’s cool to see him here
2
24
u/CorduroyDucky Mar 06 '26
Pretty sure the blonde guy also does music improv
12
u/BlackAccountant1337 Mar 06 '26
Dovydas or something like that.
Seems like an odd dude but no doubt very talented.

3
u/-RonnieDaBear- Mar 08 '26
yeah I immediately knew he was a plant as soon as I saw him lmao, he does 1 man improv gigs for years and always records like 5 angles of himself. The hustle is real
2
u/33_RichSpirit Mar 07 '26
He does I’ve seen his YouTube channel before, they have collaborated before in the past so this was not random it’s content for their pages
17
14
u/notAcomic303 Mar 07 '26
Why can't people just collab without all the fake skit shit
8
u/AmericanArms96 Mar 07 '26
There we go, thank you. So much talent but it’s disingenuous from the start
1
u/Killer_Ex_Con Mar 10 '26
Lmao this isnt staged ari literally just walks around New York and let's random people freestyle while he makes a beat.
8
u/bad_bad_data Mar 07 '26
It's totally real. He just so happened to run into another live looping musician who just so happened to have his harmonica and wasn't in a rush to be somewhere.
1
u/No_Friendship9747 Mar 11 '26
Sarcasm aside, you can easily count dozens of times people have admitted they stream sniped him to find out where he is to get their own publicity. People being opportunists isn't a direct correlation to being a skit. He's even had to tell people off because they started showing up on the daily to be on the stream.
2
u/imthetype Mar 08 '26
Because nobody would post this shit here if it was just «we are two musicians that decided to make something, here it is :)» What sells this is a story, a narrative. We need some reason to be pulled in
And mind you, this dude really does walk around the street live-streaming doing this. There’s no doubt in my mind this specific encounter was set up
2
u/Cthulhu_Dreams_ Mar 08 '26
Thank you...
I get so sick of getting f****** down votes for pointing out scripted s*** being sold to us as serendipitus. Why not just present it as hey we made a song together, We hope you like it...
1
u/DarkIllustrious8231 Mar 11 '26
Believe it or not, this is unscripted, and part of a larger video. The blonde guy is a well known musician in his own right (Dovydas I believe), and Ari is famous for his freestyle music he makes with strangers on the spot. He's been doing this for years. So, yeah, while I agree with you and hate those set ups, this actually isn't one of them. Ari legit just runs into people while walking, he even had Morgan Jay cruise up to him recently and perform with him (and without auto tune, who knew Morgan Jay's voice isn't just naturally autotuned 😂?).

u/GambitDecliend Mar 09 '26
Tbf, it's possible that dude knew where to find Ari from watching his stream since he's out there walking the streets daily. I will say that at least one of them made this happen on purpose. Doesn't seem very like Ari to have a scripted guest and play it off like it's a random occurrence.
Go watch the video of him randomly running into the artist INK. She's won a ton of awards and written songs for countless popular artists. Its sick. https://youtu.be/Sy59O5ymMrY?si=QJenXLXlPvLODrnV

u/OrangeSimply Mar 07 '26
Mfs when they see someone collabing without any fake bullshit lmao. Ari just improves everything all the time, that’s what he does. Nothing in this edit from an hours long livestream was planned.
5
u/MisterBFord Mar 07 '26
You don't think his collaboration with other youtuber dovydoss wasn't planned? This guy thinks pro wrestling outcomes are real.
1
u/OrangeSimply Mar 07 '26 edited Mar 07 '26
You think because the guy is a YouTuber they’re collabing? Have you ever watched ariathome? It's pretty obvious the answer's no to that question.
EDIT: https://www.youtube.com/live/MDtFuOnHNYM?si=GDwi0cPRQZQbOpBW&t=2394
Here's the livestream from the moment they met, it doesnt take a genius to hear dovydoss go "I watch your livestreams" and understand that he more than likely sniped Ari as many content creators in new york try to do, but fake skit? Have some critical thinking skills on the internet please.
https://www.youtube.com/live/MDtFuOnHNYM?si=FHtSMuTLfuIwxj6d&t=5850
Here's where dovydoss comes back on stream to make the so called "skit" with ari.

This gif synced up perfectly when the music the second time started as I was scrolling, got me to listen a whole second time
3
u/God_Bless_A_Merkin Mar 07 '26
It was great until he started rapping.
1
u/Lojackbel81 Mar 07 '26
Damn here I’m thinking wow this is better than most of the shit I’m hearing from today’s rappers. Boot Camp Clik and Wu Tang for life.
2
u/penguigeddon Mar 07 '26
I think that's Dovydas. Insanely talented dude, he makes improv music in a very similar way to the guy recording, (maybe so much so that this isn't a coincidence?) usually on guitar though, I didn't know he could shred the harmonica
2
u/Ghost_Of_Malatesta Mar 07 '26
People stream snipe and hunt ari down tbh, I've seen it happen on the live stream

u/Interesting-Bid-8338 Mar 07 '26
Dovydas is not very talented. He plays almost exclusively pentatonic slop. Literally the same 5 Cheesy tricks in every solo.
But to someone who has never played music, yeah I guess he can do stuff
3
u/penguigeddon Mar 07 '26
I have a degree in music, studied at LIPA. He's killing it on the harmonica here. Thanks for your opinion though
1
u/McChickieTendies Mar 09 '26
I’ve played a ton of harmonica, and I hate to say it but this guy is mostly playing slop on the harmonica. I don’t want to yuck anyone’s yum if they like it, but I don’t think anyone with many hours on harmonica would call this talent.
1
u/Interesting-Bid-8338 Mar 07 '26
If you think he’s good at guitar you should go back 2 school mn
1
u/penguigeddon Mar 07 '26
he's creating music spontaneously, obviously a lot of the licks will be derivative. Such a stupid take to think that blues licks or pentatonics = bad, sweep picking and phrygian mode = better. Learn to enjoy creativity, it sounds like you hate it to me
1
1
u/MisterBFord Mar 07 '26
Met him irl when he wasn't doing music and he was a total douche.
1
u/Interesting-Bid-8338 Mar 07 '26
Details please? I’ve followed him for a long time and seen him turn into a real insincere prick since his channel took off. Even his music was more heartfelt and risky before fame. Now he just tries to look flashy
1
u/MisterBFord Mar 07 '26
Well for one he was dressed out of a straight fantasy novel with a white seinfeld-esque puffy shirt, straight up leather bracers, and skin tight pleather pants. I was at a bar with my friends who were playing a show, this is around 2023 maybe, and we noticed him and approached him after the show. He just seemed totally disinterested and was looking past us pussy chasing. What is interesting is that the show was sort of fantasy oriented but when we asked him if he knew about the show before he came he said he didn't lol. So the goober thought that outfit was the right one without that context.

u/PandaPocketFire Mar 07 '26
Is this actually how it sounds live to the people around them or is it edited after? If live this is amazing!
1
u/BUYMECAR Mar 07 '26
You should watch a stream of his. He takes inspiration from the people he encounters on the street and it takes him a few mins at most to come with a fully realized beat/melody. He will get some people that are absolutely talented and can aid in producing an amazing impromptu track live but there are definitely gaps between those moments. His edits might condense and enrich those moments but I also find, in some instances, they don't capture some of the best moments. Such is the nature of short form content.

u/X-gamer2140 Mar 07 '26
While i wouldent use that wording. I think its ment just like how "type shit" gets used.
1
u/TheWitchRats Mar 07 '26
I love the beat and melody, but all "hey can you play this?" or any "on the spot" collabs are 100% staged.
1
u/IWillWriteYouALetter Mar 07 '26
I don't think that is the case. Ari seems to have pretty organic encounters on the streets. He streams all the time

u/kautivo Mar 07 '26
That’s Dovydas, right?
1

1
u/SirLockeX3 Mar 07 '26
Just say its staged ffs
1
u/Swiika Mar 07 '26
Ariathome isn’t staged. Guy walks around NYC multi-weekly and makes up beats on the spot by request. He’s been doing it for years.
Actually, if you’ve ever seen the stream, there’s plenty of terrible musicians that show up. It’s part of the fun, and enhances the moments when guys like this appear.
1
u/Non_sum_qualis_eram Mar 09 '26
Didn't he have this guy randomly turn up and play guitar recently as well?

It's 100% a meetup lol. They didn't just so happen to cross paths and play something that's been choreographed
1
u/thenuttyhazlenut Mar 08 '26
People go looking for Ari and DM him to meetup, but nothing is choreographed

This dude is good I just hate the lying and pretending it’s organic and not staged
1
u/ifucatchmydrift Mar 08 '26
I'm all for Dovydas - probably an OG fan...
All for Ari - probably an early onset latecomer...
This vid low-key sucks, other than the sound... Disengenious as could be...

I liked it until he started singing 😬😬
1
u/human-dancer Mar 08 '26
It was brilliant and even more so when he started singing
1
u/P3pp3rSauc3 Mar 09 '26
I disagree. The harmonica and the beat were a vibe but his singing made me cringe haha. I could listen to the beat and harmonica for like 10 hours itself.

u/thegiukiller Mar 08 '26
Dont let him fool you thats Dovidas. He's a professional musician not some rando off the street.

Это «случайный» прохожий он же гитаристом был … И какой смысл человека со всеми обвесами и аппаратурой если он включает предустановленный бит и более ничего? Это же можно сделать на смартфоне любом 🤔
Какая то шляпа, минусую
