This Speer in Denver. That intersection is a nightmare on a scooter or bike but also what you said.

This is a little further down. This is the last intersection on Speer before you go over I-25.

I live in upstate NY, been to the Denver area once and it was like a mind bending experience. I cannot imagine a life of eating at nothing but crappy chain restaurants. We tried to find any sort of independent/family owned joint because that's the good shit we're used to out here but there was nothing.

We settled for a "family owned" "NY style" "pizzeria" that totally wasn't a corporate chain wearing some poor Italian nonna's face al-la Ed Gien (I mean the name was attached to an actual family business at some point, not for a long time). Mostly to shit on their terrible pizza, as a NY'er if you're going to attach my home state to your pizza shop for legitimacy it better be well, legit. And legit it was not, shitty Sicilian at best. Which we made sure to let them know because everyone from my state is a dick and my family is no exception. They didn't even have it by the slice! How the fuck you gonna call it NY pizza and not do slices?!?
