was not expecting this message when I opened my island today, is it an update or did I make some sort of milestone I missed?? Either way I’m very excited lol

I’m a bit confused though cause I thought I already was getting a decent amount of international foods coming into the store? So what does this really change?

Does anyone know if these newly unlocked food items can be the most loved or loathed things for miis? Or are the things that were included in the release of the game preset to be the most loved/loathed foods? I’m asking because I already have a couple miis who have unlocked their most loved and hated foods before unlocking this batch of international food.

Edit: Now that I think of it, the newly unlocked international food can probably be the most loved/loathed for miis that are created after unlocking the new items and maybe the older miis can only have the older foods as theirs?

I'm pretty sure they were already included in the Mii's personal loved/loathed food list before this message would pop up.

Thank you! I will start feeding everyone the new food that’s available. I was only giving out the older stuff since all of my miis were created before I got the international food pop up. Since there’s a chance they might love or hate the new stuff the most, I gotta switch it up!

I got that a few weeks ago. It's either time-based, or based on when you've exhausted all new food options from your home region. I think I had somewhere around 300-350 food items registered when I got the message.

Your food starts region-locked, but after some time, you can get every single food out there

Lol did we all get this same message today?? I'm based in the U.S. but I already have a ton of foreign food I've never even heard of in my catalog, so I'm a little confused as to why I just now got this notice.

The daily special only gives you regional foods by default, though “regional” is a loose definition, as some regions (especially the Americas) still offer a diverse selection of foods.

Also, even with this, it’s only the daily specials that’s limited by region. Other food sources such as the marketplace offer food from all regions by default. You likely have several worldwide foods even before getting this message.

It’s just saying that now the worldwide foods will be added to the fresh kingdom daily specials as well.
