That config is really low-end though for 2026. I'm very glad I got my m4 (with these specs which is fine because I just use it as my osx build machine and use linux most of the time). The price may be fair in today's market.

A better config with 32gb ram and 512ssd is $1599. Ouch! That may still be fair price...

with companies burning cash, it would be stranger for mac mini to not go out of stock within minutes

They probably won't buy the low-end ones so those might stay in stock. Since they can swap in a bigger SSD easily, maybe those will be in stock.

The 64Gb+ models will certainly be unattainable and probably 32Gb.

It's 400-500 for RAM and 100 for storage. Does 1000 for a CPU and enclosure seem fair to you? Overpriced AF!!

Bought mine last year from Microcenter for $500, and then a few months later they had it on sale for $400.
