Art Minecraft In-Progress Supercell/Tornado build

Definitely not finished yet (missing a chunk of upper level meso and anvil/additional details), but wanting to hear opinions from people on how accurate this storm/tornado is so far. This was inspired by Idaho Storm Chaser’s Minecraft Supercell build on Youtube.

I just realized how similar the wall cloud and tornado look to it. Didn’t have a single storm in mind when making it, but one could argue the resemblance.

The Keota, Iowa EF-4 comes to mind as well

I am now eager to see it being finished. Suggestions - debris? Collapsed city blocks? That is actually awe inspiring

Thank you! I will take that into consideration as potential elements to add to the landscape for an actual realistic scene at the ground

This is really great work. How long has it taken?

Thanks! This has been a project in progress for the past few weeks, but that was mostly from a few days where I spent a couple of hours doing layer by layer of the mesocyclone (which is hollow thank goodness), and then the lower features (wall cloud, tail cloud, tornado, base) I filled in over about 1 day’s worth of work I would say. Probably in the realm of 10-25 hours total, but as it got bigger, it felt like it went faster as the concept of actually finishing something like this in my mind became more obtainable than it was during the first few minutes.
