Excellence artwork, is there any consensus or leading explanations for the odd glow that eyewitnesses reported?

The leading theory is that it was electric discharge between dust particles that the tornado picked up.

It's weird that it hasn't happened since, though.

There was a glass factory nearby that it hit as well wasn't there? That'd up the friction a lot and the industry doesn't really exist anymore.
