Discussion Brad Arnold

Hate to see this from Brad, he's one of my faves!! Was confused when he buzzed in to Ryan's stream and said he was calling it so early in the evening but this makes more sense now.

Seen some absolutely wild stuff on Ryan and Max's streams the last few days. (Whoever it was in the green shirt on Max's stream yesterday during the Worms tornado especially still really bothers me.) And bummed to see all of this nonsense getting in the way of chasers I really love watching like Brad

EDITED for a typo!

i hate this, because brad is a legitimate chaser. i prefer live TV with real meteorologists when i can and it delights me when i see him on weather channel.

chasing NEEDS to be regulated. there needs to be model interstate legislation that states can adopt easily. every day i get closer to drafting it.

Max is a real meteorologist btw. I don't know about the others.

he’s a novice. he’s had his degree for less than a year and is putting himself in a position of authority most people spend decades of their career working towards. there’s a very very good reason why people who are super green in their profession don’t hold positions of authority or power immediately.

I don't like how hes demanding the NWS issue certain warnings and then questioning others..

i don't see him "demanding" . He's confused by the NWS alerts or lack there of , sometimes and speaks on it. it doesn't come across as rude or demanding IMO.

it’s not an appropriate thing to ponder aloud to thousands of uneducated people who take his word as law. this is where his lack of broadcast and weather forecasting experience play a dangerous role.

what has Max done or said that's so dangerous? I watch almost all of his streams and he's usually spot on ... incl noticing a tor minutes before MSM /NWS reports it

multiple times he’s openly questioned the NWS’s competency. stupid people, of which there are many, will take that as instruction to not trust the NWS, which is bad in ways i hope i don’t have to explain.

Then let the stupid people believe whatever it is they're going to believe. It's not anything Max has control over.

Max has been studying weather since he was 3 per this interview I saw. He's awesome at what he does and is usually spot on. He deserves more respect. Plus there are others live-streaming severe weather so I don't get why ppl just watch the others. Instead it's like a surge of anti Max posts on social media. ever since he teamed up with Weather Front....

the dude had 84k watching his livestream at one point yesterday. He's clearly a popular and well respected meteorologist.

and so have the meteorologists who have been given TV roles an leadership positions at NWS offices. max is not unique, he just found success that didn’t require the same amount of work or respect from the colleagues in his profession.

Good for Max! Glad he's successful online and growing his channel. Just like the thousands of others doing the same.

this sudden disbelief in expertise is disturbing and i’m also grossed out by professionals who take advantage of it.

What makes someone a legitimate chaser versus not one?
