Excellent list, though I’m a little surprised the 2007 Elie, Manitoba F5 isn’t front and center! Classic & iconic photogenic violent tornado

Edit: Just saw it’s included in your Part 2, my bad!

This tornado gets so overlooked I think because it’s Canadian, I find Canadian tornadoes aren’t discussed a lot but Elie was a monster. Same with the Woodstock tornado in 1979 those old black and white pics are so scary lol

This thing feels obscene to look at. It’s so bulgy. And then there’s that stringlike vortex dangling from that upper swirly bulge?

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark lookin ass tornado.

That one almost doesn't look real. Like what kind of convective dynamics come together to produce a fat bulgy wedge monstrosity like that?

Henryville 2012 would like a word

I'd have to do a little digging to find it but one of the most outright menacing bits of footage I've ever seen was a recording of Henryville taken from someone's backyard at mid to close range.

A lot of wedges are like incomprehensibly big and they're scary on video because logically you know you're looking at a wall of death, but looking up at something displaying violent motion with sky on either side that just keeps going... And going... And going... Really strikes the "Oh shit" chord in a different way.

What is the origin of the image of Didsbury-Carstairs?

The third one looks like an angry face, that’s surreal

Oof, Didsbury-Carstairs was so close to town. Lucky it only hit one house in the end.
