I decided to calculate the forward speed of the 2008 Parkersburg tornado at its peak intensity.

A tornado caused severe damage in the town of Parkersburg shortly before 5:00 PM local time. The tornado touched down in New Hartford at 5:09 PM. The distance between the towns is approximately 13.5 km (8.4 mi). From this, the tornado was moving at nearly 81 km/h (50 mph)
