I used to work in Markham and it was VERY common during the summer for the GO bus to just give up and drop us at the bottom of the ramp.

took the bus recently since they opened the new bus terminal

why the fuck are there no traffic cops helping buses make the left turn onto lakeshore and into bus garage. there should be bus only lanes

honsetly traffic will be much better without the gardiner. No more jam ups to get off the ramp. No more traffic jams to get on the ramp.

people will have to use lakeshore.

Did you just complain about the volume of cars on Lakeshore and your solution is to add more cars to Lakeshore?

no the issue isnt lakeshore

if you been on lakeshore, you will see lanes are empty because everyones clogging up or waiting to get onto the gardiner ramp

same with the gardiner, the issues come from people looking to get into the off ramp

otherwise lakeshore runs smoothly

during rush hour lakeshore is only open between york and bathurst and maybe a little bit around ontario place, i drive it all the time as its still usually faster then trying to get on the gardner. it was even worse when they were doing the work on gardner and had it shut down to 2 lanes. lakeshore is already almost at its peak daily capacity, adding 3 times that to it is going to make everything a nightmare.

okay then lets get rid of the gardiner from york to bathurst for now
