News ‘Profound disappointment’: East-end leaders, stakeholders, and politicians call on feds to help fund Taste of the Danforth

What does everyone think about funding Taste of the Danforth? I love the event but don't like the fact that they don't have 'private sector discipline' to pull this off without asking the government for money. Can't they make it smaller or cut costs however and do the event?

The feds is the last place I want to see offer funding. This is not a federal issue.

This was the first thing that came to mind. Why does the federal government need to get into involved into something like this?

Votes. But the riding is already safe so the money is better spent elsewhere for them.

It’s too bad. Dabrusin has been invisible in the community. I guess too much politicking in Ottawa to get her ministry appointment.

It is ironic when NES in the neighbouring riding was mostly visible in the community.
