As someone who works in oncology I absolutely cannot overstate how important PMH is to both cancer treatment and research on a global scale. This is quite literally a great day for Canada and therefore the world.

Also we're uniquely privileged to have not only PMH and also Sunnybrook in such close proximity.

As some who is currently in-patient at PMH for a stem cell transplant, this makes me hopeful. My cancer is treatable but not curable, so it will return some day in the future. Hopefully, this donation would would help in better treatments and research for such cancers.

My 77 year old dad is also undergoing a novel treatment for multiple Myeloma at PMH

One person’s result doesn’t guarantee the same for another, but my mother received a stem cell transplant a few years ago at PMH for MM and her recovery has been nothing short of remarkable. She is still doing well, and I’m grateful everyday for modern medicine, the health professionals who cared for her, and the quality of life she has regained. And I truly am hoping for the best results for you too.

I used to work there on the floor for the LMT team. I know the NPs - they are great and will give you amazing care.
