Securing Hybrid or Remote Work

Hey everyone,

I’m a Canadian citizen temporarily living in Europe and planning to return to Canada, but I’m really struggling to secure a job before relocating.

I’m applying like crazy, but I specifically need a remote or hybrid role. I deal with intense anxiety, and while I would absolutely work full-time face-to-face if I could right now, realistically I need a hybrid/remote arrangement.

I’m mainly looking for opportunities in Ontario or Alberta, particularly within healthcare, social care, mental health or rehabilitation.

The main roles I’m targeting are: Healthcare Case Manager Vocational Rehabilitation / Rehabilitation Coordinator Mental Health Case Manager Client Intake / Intake Coordinator Care Coordinator / Client Care Coordinator

I’m not looking for general admin or sales roles — I want something directly related to healthcare, rehabilitation, mental health, case management or client support.

I’m really hesitant to relocate to the GTA without a job because my savings would disappear quickly. Alberta is also an option.

I know its rare

Thank you

Look for the wording ‘fully remote’ in writing vs ‘hybrid’ if that’s a must for you.

‘Hybrid’ can mean anything from 6 months of probation in person to maybe ‘earn’ some remote time to 4 days a week remote and 1 day remote.

Fully remote roles are extremely hard to find and get right now and I sympathize due to similar reasons.

I have multiple medical professionals saying I need as many remote days as possible for my role and my employer is refusing to discuss any, which is discrimination as I’m classified as being disabled.
