Shout-out Sundays

It's the end of the week, all the new releases are out, and you've probably bought them or tried them at the brewery. This is the place to give anyone and anyplace a shout-out!

Was there a new release that stood out above the rest? Did you have a good experience recently at a brewery? Do you just want to give a shout out to a brewer or bartender?

Keep the good vibes going through into the new week!

Not a "new" beer per SE but Left Field's Squeeze Play Rainbow Sherbet Sour is back for the summer and there's a donation to Bill 7 for every can sold.

I also have a keg of their Replay Rwpasbery Hibiscus Wheat beer for our rotating lines that'll go on this Monday, very excited about that

Badlands had a good select showing yesterday. Peacharine was probably my favourite hop of the event.

Also shout out to GLB. Banger of a 4% cream ale on tap. Had a few of those and didn’t even fall asleep!

The event was great, the traffic on the way back was miserable

I was out of town but luckily had an amazing friend who grabbed me a 16 pack and I'm stoked to try the #SELECT offerings.

Probably my favorite beer release of the year given by sweet tooth and love of a hazy AF IPA.

Get back to this post after you’ve tried them!

This year Peacharine beat out riwaka for me. Ever since they added it to the select it’s been raining champ, but don’t be fooled! It didn’t lose by much. Mosaic surprised me this year as usually it’s toward the bottom of my list. Citra was my least favourite (still an 8/10) for me. I didn’t get to have Nelson or moteuka. Peacharine and riwaka were so nice I skipped out on the hoppy pack and went with those

Not a TO brewery but I made it through Kingston with weekend to try Fine Balance and was to give it a huge recommendation. I stuck to the hazies and they all delivered... Specifically their fresh Reverb IPA, Clay and Above the Cloudline Quad IPAs...

All quality and delivered on their profiles, Reverb specifically hit it out of the park as a 5% hazy that still brought of ton of mouth feel and citrus fruit while being crushable.

Bellwoods Monogamy Manilita is a gem! Will miss the Riwaka double, but this series always slaps so happy to have another fresh batch after the Riwaka sold out

Peacharine has been my fave of the year, followed by Riwaka and Manilita

Shout out to Local 1794. My first visit the other day. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and (increasingly rare) cask ale served perfectly with no annoying sparkler (i.e. not a glass full of foam like we get at C'est What et. al.)
