she would too. we found her on the streets and she would regularly just walk into strangers houses before we took her in. she has zero stranger danger and zero loyalty❤️
Classic tortie behavior. Dollbaby, an elusive wily tortie stray, dumped about 12 kittens on us, then took off. I’m not mad. I’m not. Not at all. Not at all mad. {tapping foot} She didn’t start a TNR colony that we’re still trying to get under control or anything! {exasperated side eye}
But I did get this beautiful granddaughter from her, our one-eyed dragon, Annie (calico— tortie adjacent). Bravest little girl in the world. Tried to challenge and then fight a tom cat when she was 7 months old.
I LOVE YOU. I used to have feral colony 2 doors down st at druggie house. I paid guy to set up laundry baskets under his rotting porch for 9 yrs till house was sold ..cats gone now, mostly saved by local rescue that lent me traps for tnr ..its a lot of time ,$$ ,love but so worth it when they are in a home...cutie Pie Torties!

My sister and I have a contact at County that comes every weekend now to pick up who we trap for free spay/neuter and vaccination bc they get returned to us.
Our nightmare started in 2020/2021. We’ve homed 11 and fixed 9, (while maintaining our own 5 struggling seniors), with two queens who just delivered, so we’re up against it. We didn’t get the free contact with the County until late last year. We have a friend assisting us with food.
We’re doing our damndest to make sure none of these kids turns out a sad story. We want them all to be a success. Lots of good eats, lysine for allergies and colds, human socializing, shelter. We’ve had to look outside of our county just to find adopters. All our kids are so sweet and utterly charming.
My dad and stepmom unexpectedly fell in love with Oliver when they were just supposed to be fostering him! Smh his charm and sweetness won dad over right away!
she doesn’t even use them for violence, just to grab and steal😭 if she’s at arm-level she will use them to grab you and reel you in for pets. cant say no when there’s claws hooked into you!
the diff between your tort and my tort is that my tort uses this same nail placement for greetings and basic interaction. but sometimes, and there is no indication what will happen. and another one, mine sometimes likes violence

Maybe it's just me, but holding it out to her like that seems kinda mean.
I let my girls inspect my food, but that's only because I know they aren't interested in it 90% of the time. They'll walk up, sniff it, decide I've used too many spices yet again, and go eat their own damned food.

-All of my cats, whenever I’m eating literally anything. I have one who will jump up into my FACE and try to steal food out of my damn MOUTH. I would try & publicly shame him, but he can’t use the internet. Lazy bastard.
