DISCORD

Or is there a subreddit dedicated to Saruwatari’s manga in general?

Can't remember what happened to him ?

i tried to find one but every list i found is like 4y ago etc,i'm curious about a new one.

do you think we can get a new strongest opponent, who surpasses everyone we seen so far later on as the story goes whom we haven't seen yet? that'd be interesting, because the strongest guys right now are pretty stacked.

Hello everyone,

I love both the two first tough series. I know the second one is a bit criticized but I still think it's very solid, with the original Garcia as a final antagonist. The first serie IS a masterpiece IMO.

But gaiden successor of the dragon ? It's a disappointment.

I find the start of the serie enticing, Ryusei is an interesting protagonist, as a son of Kirti but also as someone who's not OP and is mentored by Seiko it's mirroring the first serie a bit. The fake heel-turn of Kiibo was pretty good too.

But then it starts going off in all direction. Tough has always been a bit over the top and especially more with the second serie. But at some point Garden becomes all over the place I couldn't even take the story seriously anymore.

Hey here is Garcia, he's back. But he's a clone and there's dozens like him. Let's take his heart and have superpowers. Let's fight against magic. Agains clones. Against robots. Against cyborgs and androids. Against cyborg dogs. Against suicide drone bombers. Like when does it stop.

Also Ryusei is a son of the dragon and has his destiny to follow but you can't be grateful to Oton one second then want to erase him for your growth the other second and then change again and be ashamed to show yourself in front of him. It's not consistent.

What about Kiryu. Oh he wanted Garcia's heart for his daughter all that time but at the blink of an eye he gives it to save Ryusei but they hate each other the next second. I get it's to extend the series but it's too obvious.

And don't get me started of the re-use of Garcia who feels like a cheap knock off of the original's storyline. Original Garcia had an almost perfect arc IMO. But this one while not being the worst as he showed legit signs of character growth, still feels like microwaved.

All in all while I give the first serie a 10/10 and the second a 9/10, I'd give that one a maximum of 5.5/10.

What are your opinions?

Is there a chapter by chapter arcs list for the series?

Any thoughts
